We stayed one night at this hotel, and thought that it was wonderful. Our room was much bigger than we had anticipated. The sitting area had a couch, chaise, small table and chairs, and dresser with a tv on top. The bedroom was attached to this area by french doors. Our bedroom was equipped with a king bed, 2 night tables, and a TV armoire. The furnishings in this hotel suite were beautiful, and the rooms were freshly painted...very soothing decor.

The hotel lobby area was very clean, as was the hotel veranda. The view from the veranda is just amazing. The staff was very friendly, willing to do anything to make our stay a pleasurable one.

Overall we loved the Georgian and if we need to spend time again in Santa Monica, we'll probably return. Just a couple of small things . . . we asked for some ice to be sent up to our suite . . . waited about 15-20 minutes . . . no ice, and by then we need to leave and told the front desk to cancel the ice . . . they appologised and when we got back to our room and agin requested some ice, it came promptly. Also, when we came down to breakfast about 8:30 this past Sunday morning, clearly your staff was overloaded. If was a 30 minute wait after we finally were able to order until the food arrived (very good by the way). We requested water to two different people and it never arrived . . . and after waiting at least 10 minutes after we were finished I finally got up from the table and went to the register to pay our check. But all of the staff was friendly and, on balance, we enjoyed our stay.

We just returned from a 3 night stay at the Georgian Hotel in Santa Monica. The hotel was more than we expected! The only disapointment was that when we booked, I requested a room facing North, towards Malibu but we ended up in a room facing south, which faces the very tall apartment building across the street. WE could see the ocean to the side.
A minor inconvenience!
The room was very recently renovated with new bathroom ( a little small but very functional), new carpeting and all new furniture and paint. They were just getting ready to install flat plasma TVs in all rooms when we left.
We did the B&B rate which included breakfast for 2 (a la carte) and valet parking. We would book that rate agin if we returned. You do save some money if you eat a full breakfast everyday.
The service was excellent. All the staff share the duties such as valet parking, room service, etc.
All of our breakfasts were excellent including their signature French toast soufle
The other thing that I noticed was that the mini-bar in the room had prices that I haven't seen in years. Beer, cocktails were all reasonably priced, half price to most mini-bars that we have seen in the past couple of years.
The verandah serves lunch and cocktails in the evening and if you want dinner ,via room service, they order it from the restaurant next dood, The Ocean.
We can't say much more other than it was great.
A side note, we did hear the odd noise from the room next door, but nothing that disturbed our sleeping,etc.

Wonderful hotel, we had an ocean front one bedroom apartment and it was just lovely, staff friendly and helpful, very homely and beautifully furnished.

The front veranda was the perfect place to have an afternoon wine, a very welcoming hotel you could actually sit in the front entrance on the couches and feel quite relaxed and at home, unlike some hotels where it is like sitting in an airport lounge.

It would have been nice to have a kettle as well as a coffee machine and as always steer clear of the mini bar, my daughter opened a small packet of oreos but didn't eat them, it cost me almost $10.

Would recommend to anyone.
