My mom and me stayed at the Channel Road Inn for one week, during our Trip to LA. It was our first time in California, and so we had no idea where to stay. Luckily we had already bought a travel guide from "Marc O'Polo", and in there we read the short paragraph of the Channel Road Inn. This convinced us, that the Inn would be the right place for us to stay.

As we arrived our expectations have been more than overtopped. The house is in a very quiet arrea, near the beach. When you enter the building, everything fits to the location. It's very tastefully furnished, and you feel very welcome. We were positively astonished when we were welcomed with the words: "I've baked you some homemade coockies to welcome you. I hope you like them". And yes...they were delicious, so as all the homemade things we got for breakfast and snack.

The rooms were all differently furnished, and very clean. Another big chalk up for the Inn is, that the staff is very nice and caring. They answered all our questions about the area or where to find the next supermarket.

Now we are half a week home again, and we already miss the tasty meals we got there. But luckily we bought the cookbook from the Inn, so that we could try to make the delicious food by our own.

All told, our stay at the Channel Road Inn was very comfortable and nice. So we can highly recommend it to everyone.

We only spent 2 nights at Channel Road, but wished we had stayed longer. It was situated in a nice quiet spot just off the main beach road with easy access to the beach and to the Pier, and in fact to everywhere went! Whilst we didn't use the bikes many people did, and it was nice knowing we could have used them.
Our 2 rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast and afternoon wine/snacks were fantastic. I even brought away one of the recipes for future use.
All in all we would recommend Channel Road to anyone hoping to stay in the Santa Monica area, and should we be returning will definitely be going there.

“Great End to our Holiday”

Channel Road Inn

Aug 4, 2008

We stayed at the inn for 3 nights at the end of our two week holiday at the end of June and thought the inn was really lovely. The room was very comfortable, nicely decorated and furnished. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, going out of their way to answer questions and give help and advice. The afternoon wine and snacks were substantial and the breakfasts were delicious and by far the best we had during our holiday. The public areas are also lovely and there are lots of places to sit and relax. The beach is a short walk away and there are bikes to borrow if you feel energetic enough to cycle along the boardwalk. We cycled to Venice Beach which is a nice ride. There is also a computer with internet access, which guests are free to use, useful for checking in online at the end of our stay. The inn was the most expensive place we stayed and I suspect we probably could have got a better deal had we shopped around. However, we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely go back if we are in the Santa Monica area in the future.

Great hotel, great room, great peole, great food! We stayed there for three days, during our 10-days vacation in Los Angeles.
Everything spells perfection since the moment you step into the lobby. We were welcomed by a young lady who kindly took us on a tour of the hotel and of our room
The room, a standard one, featured charming furniture and wonderful atmosphere
The breakfast then... everyday fresh fruits and cakes just for us!
It did cost, but it was worth every penny!
Last but not least, the location is perfect for people visiting Los Angeles and looking for a peaceful place to rest after a full day sightseeging.

“Loved this place”

Channel Road Inn

Jun 26, 2008

What a great place to stay! The grounds are beautiful, lovely communal areas and we had a fantastic room with private balcony and 4 poster bed. It's only a 2 minute walk from a really quiet part of the beach and a 20 min walk from the shops & restaurants of Santa Monica. The homemade food is also lovely (I want some more of those cookies!)
