“Nice service, yummy mexican food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2014

I've been to Casa Martim for dinner. I was alone and the staff was very attentive, they arranged a good table for me and were attentive all the time - even though the restaurant was very busy. Food is very good, well prepared and huge portions. Price is fair.
Atmosphere is familiar, relaxed. They have a TV in sports' channel, which is great if you're alone. A great option if you're craving mexican food at Santa Monica.

“Family owned, great food & friendly service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2014

We happen to stop here for a late dinner because it was very close to our hotel. We were greeted by one of the owners and seated right away. Very good chips & salsa were brought out immediately. Any questions about the menu were happily answered. Food arrived in a timely manner. Large portions and everyone loved their meals...even the one person in our family who "doesn't like" Mexican food! Great margaritas also. Highly recommend and would definitely come back if we're in the area again!

“Yummy!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014

First of all, the service was attentive. This seems like a no-brainer, but the whole week we were in SoCal, I felt like too many places just got by. Margaritas? Very tasty. Guacamole? When you order the large, you get LARGE! Unless you are a bigger group or big eaters, you probably don't need a large. Four of us didn't finish it. The fish or shrimp tacos were both very good. So was the enchiladas verdes. This is a well above average Mexican restaurant with above average service when we were there. It was also a fair price for the food. Recommend!

“Molcajete LaMexicana número uno”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014 via mobile

VERY GOOD, like really really good. I treated my wife to dinner on a recent weekend in Santa Monica, we chose Casa Martin as it was very close to our hotel. The food is fantastic, we tried both a jalepeno margarita and a pomegranate marg (both house specialties), cleaned a bowl of thick chunky guacamole, piled through a basket of chips and salsa, and enjoyed mains of Camarones ala Diablo, and the signature house special the Molcajete LaMexicana. This huge meal comes in a lava rock dish, has chicken, steak, cactus, sausage and delicious broth served with beans rice and tortillas, it is so good. I understand there are a limited amount of this dish made nightly, so try get there early enough that it's still available. Wait staff are very friendly and the vibe is fun and Mexican. Hard not to want yo make this an annual pilgrimage.

“White Sangria with Fritaja - Great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2014

Eat here when I visit Santa Monica and it never disappoints. Usually order fritajas which are delicious and enough for two people.
