Sham is understated from the street, wedged between an alleyway and a guitar shop, but it is quite a find. We ventured in during the Los Angeles Marathon for a bit of respite from the crowds and the surprisingly chilly weather. We found a cozy spot to watch the marathon finishers limp past and enjoyed a true feast of Mediterranean comfort foods. The spinach dish (simply called "spinach") was incredibly savory, loaded with well-cooked (not crunchy) garlic and served with a wedge of lemon. The tabouleh was fresh and delicious. The chicken shwarma was flavorful and juicy, and the accompanying garlic sauce was phenomenal. I wish we'd had the appetite to try more. We will definitely go back.
