“If you like being ripped off and taken for granted, this is your place”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

Prices are obscene, wine list prices are a joke. People are treated like a commodity with little interest in whether you return or not. Awful parking! Go to valentinos, locanda, rosti, etc. all within a mile of this arrogant eatery

“Always A Treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Capo is one of our favorite restaurants in LA, hands down! One of the few places that have perfected every detail, making it a true treasure. The service is stellar, and the food is absolutely delicious. The restaurant is cozy and perfectly lit, with a brick fire oven in the back corner next to the fully stocked bar. There is a wide variety of art on the walls, and the way the tables are arranged, it is a very inviting and comfortable environment. Definitely not stuffy! They serve freshly baked bread with an olive oil that is so tasty it melts in your mouth. This is a great treat while flipping through the gigantic bible they call their wine list. This time I had the carciofi salad to start, and my taste buds exploded with a lemony zest. It was out of this world! Renny had the BBQ Romaine Caesar salad. For our main courses, we both chose a pasta. I went with my usual, the Spaghetti "Jean-Paul Belmondo" which is a spicy red sauce that I only dream I could recreate at home. It's truly awesome! Renny had the Spaghetti Carbonara Pata Negra and was equally enthusiastic about his dish. Of course, we finished with a chocolate soufflé that is so light and tasty, it literally disappears in seconds. Another exquisite meal that we thoroughly enjoyed that will keep us coming back. I do have to mention that although their wine list is extensive, the choices of wine by glass are very limited. They do not offer a chardonnay by the glass, so we were stuck with a chablis and a riesling that we weren't excited about. Other than that, we have no complaints!

“The BEST of LA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013 via mobile

I went to Capo this evening for dinner with a friend. I have been here many times before and will tell you it is absolutely still on the top of its game.

We had several dishes to rave about. The rigatoni with truffle meat sauce, the porterhouse for two, the polenta salsiccia were all incredible. The wine list is priceless, well except it's quite pricey, but the selections are voluminous. The service is always top notch here and I always find the great challenge to be to choose between their wonderful specials and the regular menu.

This place is a stalwart in LA and continues to prove why it's among the finest Italian and overall restaurants in Southern California.
