“One of the best mom and pop diners in LA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2009

Hands down, this is one of the best mom and pop old school diners I've been to in LA. It's small and quiet and a neighborhood/family operation for almost 70 years. It's not gourmet, but to say it's like Denny's is like saying that any place that sells hamburgers is like McDonalds. Anyway, our food (coffee, eggs florentine and a bowl of fresh strawberries and blueberries) was delicious. We sat on the back patio, which was nice and cool. If you're looking for a fancier place for brunch, you can go to Bread & Porridge down the block. But if you're a cozy neighborhood diner fan, you should love Snug Harbor.

“I don't get it. Ok it looks like a diner but what about the food.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2009

People love this place. Personally I think they love to say the name;Snug Harbor. As in "we love Snug Harbor" or "our favorite place is Snug Harbor". As if they are boats moored to a berth safe from the turbulent sea. The diner has a warm intimate feeling almost like you're in someones kitchen. Ok so what's the problem? The problem comes when the food arrives. If you're one of those people who really don't like to eat and you know who you are; then this is a great place. But come on, the food I can't even say it. It's too disturbing. If you really want to know what a diner is supposed to be like go to Rae's on Pico. Now thats a diner. You will have to wait as there will be a line out the door. But if you want to sit down and be comfortable Snug Harbor is the port for you. God Help you.
