“Delicious Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

B & P was a short drive up the street from our hotel. The service was attentive and prompt. My blueberry pancakes were outrageously good. I would visit Santa Monica again just for the pleasure of eating here.

“Good breakfast place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

Only ate here for breakfast, so can't comment on the rest of their menu. Ordered their Ranch Breakfast which was excellent. Not very impressed with their coffee which is overpriced for what you get, but the food is good. Also, they open at 6am which is great if you want to grab a bite before beginning your day as there aren't really any other comparable restaurants open at that hour nearby.

“All you can eat breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2012

Pick and choose if you want to eat in their outdoor cafe or inside in their dining room, the breakfasts are generous portions and the service if efficient. It is frequented by mostly locals and the tables are always packed so the food must be good!

“Starting the day off with Salsa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2011

My husband and I love to eat breakfast here. It makes me so happy when they deliver my perfectly cooked eggs and potatoes with a side of homemade salsa, fresh fruit and black beens. Oh, and their apple smoked bacon is so good I have to have half with breakfast and the other half the next day.

I suggest you get an americano if you are a coffee drinker. We have not been too impressed with the drip coffee they serve.

“Okay but not worth a second visit in my opinion”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2011

Walked here from Ocean Avenue as I read reviews on yelp.com that suggested it may be worth a visit and we wanted some fresh air and exercise before breakfast. Arrived just before 9 and were told to sit wherever we wanted. Served immediately and the fresh OJ was very good. Ordered country omelette, which came full of potatoes, bacon and cheese, which also came with potatoes on the side, (looking back should have ordered something different as there were far too many potatoes!) Partner ordered 3 egg omelette with quesadillas but then realised when it arrived he didn't actually know what a quesadilla was! However he said it was very tasty. Good choice of breads, when ordering toast & nice selection of jams/jellys. Food was okay, but nothing special to be honest, quite odd to have a slice of orange and bananas on the side of every plate but maybe that's because we're English(?) although we noticed an American couple ask for it to be removed from their plate. I quite liked the black bean concoction which was provided as a side, but apart from that there was nothing special about the place so we won't bother going back and will seek somewhere new tomorrow. Okay place to eat if very local, but not worth a special trip
