Five women went out to celebrate a birthday at Josie's. We had without doubt the worst server, Steve, that any of us has EVER experienced in our mutual dining histories .. surly, condescending, snotty, unaccomodating .. just unbelievable. So bad, in fact, that one of us called the manager the next day to complain, and the manager, Dave, was almost as bad as the server, and clearly defensive rather than apologetic. He ended up challenging our complaints by saying, "Well, I noticed you ladies, and it looked to me like you were having a pretty good time." Like we were supposed to not smile or enjoy each other's company because his server was insulting us, one by one. Black marks on the customer service. The food was average at best .. good soup, nice amuse bouche, flavorless trout, dry chicken breast, tagine of short ribs with a heavy undertaste (maybe preserved lemon?), chocolate bread pudding so glupped up with ice cream and sauce and whipped cream that you couldn't tell one thing from the other, and the interior was pleasantly decorated but VERY staid. All in all, nothing to recommend it, and expensive - skip Josie's. All five of us are going to in future.
