I am a flight attendant with a major airline and have stayed in hotels, good and bad, all over the world. Though this hotel was undergoing some renovation when I arrived I must say the decor of the lobby and restaurant are beautiful. It has an asian inspired theme which reminded me of the world famous Buddha Bar in Paris. I immeidately knew I was going to like the hotel.
The bed was very comfy. With the exception of Bellagio in Las Vegas, this has to be the most comfortable bed I've slept in. The room was sufficient and I didn't hear any outside noise.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the third street promenade which has lots of shops and things to keep me busy on my layover.
I had dinner in the hotel restaurant and the wait staff was efficient. The ambience was excellent. Very relaxing. Just what I needed after a day of dealing with an unrealistic public.
For fitness fanatics, this hotel has a GREAT gym that is open 24hrs. That's important for me since I sometimes have to leave the hotels I stay in early to get to my flight. Most hotel gyms open around 5 or 6am, which doesn't give me time to work out if I have to be on a shuttle at 7am going to the airport.
The hotel is nice and I am picking up another trip to LAX tomorrow just so I can stay there. I would recommend it to anyone who asks. Hope this helps.
