My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience staying at the Sea Shore Motel in June. The room was airy and ample with high ceilings, and spotlessly clean. The t.v., lights, fan, shower, etc. all worked perfectly and the bed was comfortable. The proprietors and employees are uniformly gracious and very helpful.

Parking is free and we never had a problem finding a spot. Amelia's next door is so fantastic; great coffee and even greater muffins and such warm, friendly service.

And the location is wonderful. Terrific neighborhood with lots of restaurants, neat shops, a market down the street...and just a short walk and you're right on the beach.

We really appreciated the combination of low rates, good location, and lovely accommodations offered by the Sea Shore.

We will definitely be returning!

We found the Sea Shore to be clean, convenient & well priced. What we didn't find was love from some of the staff. We felt at times that we were a nuisance when asking for directions or advice on where to go.
Would recommend this hotel based on location & price if all you want is a room. Don't expect extras.

This motel is very good value for the money.

We stayed 6 nights in first floor room 8, one king size bed. Room was always clean, it has all nesessary basic things. Bathroom is very good, lots of space on table to put everything there. People we saw in front disk were very helpful and nice people.

It is true, there is some noise, because Main street is very near. But I think it is good thing, because it means, there is lots of good restaurants and bars in walking distance. And we had so much to do everything on daytime, that when we finally went to bed, we slept immediatly !

If you want to walk to places, this is for you. For example, SeaShore Motel is one block from beach. You can walk to Santa Monica Pier, to Venice beach, and there is easy shuttle you can go shopping to 3rd street. Good way to move by beach side is to rent a bike from the beach, there are several places. We rented tandem, very funny way to move.

For this price (about $110), I am certain, there is no better deal in very popular Santa Monica.

Checked at 3:00 in the afternoon with my mom and sister
the place seemed slightly dumpy asked for a different room
they said there were no other rooms my mom sister and I thought well we can rough it although we were on the main floor
our room was under a messy dark stairwell we thought maybe so we locked our room and went for a walk and dinner upon arriving back at 7:00 pm we realized our room had been painted
with heavy oil paint on half a wall it was now not only scarey but
an unbareable place to stay we consulted the night clerk who
yelled at us saying they had done no work and there was not a refund or another room available.We checked ourselves out
jumped in the car and drove off .I guess the night clerk was trying to intimidate us as the morning clerk had reassured me the night clerk was an ex marine as if that would reassure our safety at the motel we needed to feel safe from him.I offered to call the police and the health department as well as take any action if need be the ex marine in his underwear slammed his glass window in my face.Wouldn't reccomend it by a long shot unless
you enjoy intimidation and the fresh aroma of oil paint.Shame but it's the truth.
