So, my roommate and I decided to try this place after many people suggesting it. However, there is one problem, we are both from New Orleans! We were both excited to potentially find some authentic southern cuisine in L.A., although we were both very nervous to try it considering we have never been satisfied with a southern restaurant found outside of the south. Well, that was confirmed after out trip to this restaurant. The food was absolutely horrible! We had the fried okra, it was the best thing we had, but by no means good or authentic. For the meal we had the crawfish etouffee, red beans & rice and jambalaya. None of which were authentic in the least. Neither of us could even eat the jambalaya, it was potentially the worst thing I have ever ordered. The red beans was the best choice, but that isn't saying much. The etouffee, not sure what it really tasted like. Ok, so don't go there for the food! After getting that all out in the open, I must say there is one great thing about this place... Cute guys and good beer! And they do have southern beer such as Abita, DIxie and Pabst which is good. We will go back for beer, but we will eat before we go!! (the only reason I didn't rate this Terrible is b/c of the guys and beer)
