“Poached eggs on Francese!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

My favorite. So simple, yet so very good! I love Kelly's. It's a classic for a bite to eat after a run at Wilder Ranch or Westcliff. If you have a sweet tooth, this is also the place. Very friendly staff and for a place that's always packed, the line goes very fast!

“Perhaps the best pastry in Santa Cruz County!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

In addition to the typical Bakery/cafe fare...sandwiches, salads, croissants, tarts...Kelly is interested in the European pastry delicacies: small, individual cakes decorated to the nines with edible details. I love the Cassis Mousse cake (individual size). Daily lunch breakfast and lunch specials are reasonably priced and interesting, good food! There is lots of room outside; bring
your warm fleece just in case. I don't know the table count inside, but it will be full and the prime meal hours. Open from breakfast through dinner!

“Excellent pastries!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012 via mobile

Kelly's had come as a recomendation from a friend so our expectations were already high! Their range of pastries is great and the macroons are awesome - I suppose the main downside was the cooked breakfasts. Not bad tasting but certainly not good value for money. The coffee was fairly average as well!

Servers were great, really chatty and genuinely showed an interest in what you had to say! Overall, a great place for pastries/breads and if you don't mind paying over the odds for breakfast, they are OK!

“A happening place to meet friends, awesome pastries.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

Great to sit here with a cuppa and watch the passing scene, Moms with tweens, couples, old friends, post- gym exercisers, interesting literary types. The pastries are very expensive, but finely made with the best ingredients, so are worth it if you don't over-order! Quite a gathering place, wooden tables, good art on the walls, and a nice patio with umbrellas ( you can sit there with your dog if you like). Interesting shops to browse in the same courtyard and nearby. No refills on the coffee. Parking availability is good.

“Great sandwiches and baked goods”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

If you are sightseeing along Westcliff Drive, Kelly's French Bakery is a great stop along the way. There is pleasant indoor/outdoor seating, good coffee, quiches, sandwiches, salads and treats. Orders are taken at the counter and a server brings you your order. We stopped by Kelly's twice, both during busy times, and did not wait an unusually long time to place our order. Free and easy parking is a plus. HIghly recommend.
