“Unique refreshing urban find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013

I can't say enough great things about this Inn. Quaint and lush! They let us use the beach cruisers to go to boardwalk. We like to walk and enjoyed the hike to the beach before we borrowed the bikes. this place is a real find and It's high on the list of places to go back to!

Room Tip: Toulouse-Lautrek room was a real value and great choice. Grab it if its available!

Quaint, quiet little hotel tucked away but still within walking distance to everything. Nice foliage everywhere to enjoy while sitting in one of their chairs scattered throughout the property. There is a breakfast in the morning and an evening happy hour with a variety of cheese and Hors d'oeuvres and some nice wine. The manager was really great and kept everyone happy with homemade goodies every day. The rooms have all the amenities you need and the beds are very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again if I'm back in Santa Cruz!

If you a re looking for a great place to stay for a romantic getaway this is your spot. Close to all of the great things Santa Cruz has to offer but quiet at night with the brook running outside your window. Breakfast is great and the cookies are awesome!

The Babbling Brook is a quiet, charming and friendly hotel. The staff are attentive and helpful and our room was very confortable. We borrowed the hotel bikes to get around Santa Cruz and would recommend doing that. We also reallt enjoyed the wine and cheese served early evening as we met some very interesting other travellers.
Look out for racoons around the water wheel.

The staff is wonderful, the rooms are charming and very clean, the price is right and location is good. Set amid water features and foliage and rustic wooden buildings. We were too tired to go out to dinner, so we had the complimentary cheese and goodies with great wine in the cozy
little dining/sitting lounge. And the little breakfast buffet was lovely in the morning before we left.
Did I mention the chocolate/oatmeal yummie cookies upon our arrival?
Again the staff is really nice and very helpful.
We will definitely return here when in Santa Cruz.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated. However, it got quite cold at night and the heat was inconsistent. Also our room was right next to the street and the traffic noise was rather loud.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms right near the road.

Beds are important when you are away from home. Traveling and vacationing is fun but let's face it, it can be tiring.
Babbling Brook is a lovely place, within its somewhat hidden grounds there are fountains and streams and plants and many, many little hidden areas to sit and just enjoy the outdoors.
Breakfast arrangements are very nice. Evening wine and snacks are extra nice.
They have a helpful staff, lovely rooms with extra fans, coffee makers, robes etc. ,,,. And then of course the beds.
The pillow top mattresses had an additional feather bed on top of that, then a feather comforter and four feather pillows!
Yes, I was quite happy.
