We were met in the reception by Andrew P. who was very friendly and professional and who really takes pride and joy in his profession!
The rather new hotel was very clean and in good condition, which gave us a good overall feeling.
The parking area (below building) was spacious, well lit and clean.
Wi-Fi worked well and fast.
The American breakfast buffé was well taken care of (kept fresh and well stocked).
The Diner "Santa Cruz" just 2 blocks down the road offers a great selection of well cooked and tasty American foods.

The hotel was easy to find with plenty of parking available when we arrived (after 10pm on a Friday night). Reception staff were polite and check in was smooth - just what we wanted after a longhaul flight!

The room was very high quality, bed was super comfy and housekeeping efficient. Breakfast was varied each morning with frequent replenishment.

The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the Boardwalk, around 15 minutes from downtown. The walk is pleasant as Santa Cruz is a lovely quaint town.

We stayed here for 1 night and thought the room was good- clean, spacious and quiet. The hotel is located on a main road just off the freeway so it's far from being a nice area! We didn't want to go out at night time, it didn't seem safe. The town centre was probably 15 mins walk away.

I travel alot and stay at a lot of hotels, mostly in California. I love staying at this hotel. They always recognize me, call me by name and make sure that my stay is very pleasant. But, more than that, the hotel is very clean, smells good(many dont smell clean), and is always well maintained, and is very quiet. They have a no party policy that you have to sign that I really like. I have stayed there more than 20 nights in the past year and would recommend it 100%. The staff is very friendly. I usually deal with Andrew Pederson and he is incredible. He always remembers what room I like to stay in does his best to accommodate my requests. I also like that and even when it busy he always responds to all customers with friendliness and respect. I rarely write reviews but they deserve it. Best is town and you wont be disappointed. Jim
