“Best value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

Perfect for our baseball family. It is conveniently located to the sports complex and off the freeway. It is scrupulously clean, the rooms and public areas, the staff are professional and friendly, and the amenities are excellent. The breakfast is great and, again, the staff are wonderful. Our awkward game times have not allowed us to dine in the restaurant, but would like to try sometime. The value for money is beyond excellent, I have paid a lot more for a lot less! Would recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: The double double rooms are nice for families. We prefer the outside rooms (not overlooking the cour...

Clean, friendly service, convenient parking. Common facilities are a bit tired, but the free drink tix, cookies, wireless, breakfast make up for that nicely. Breakfast area is crowded and a bit confusing. Rooms are spacious and updated--love the Keurig coffee maker. Excellent value.

Room Tip: request seventh floor

Traveled for business and stayed for 4 nights the week before Christmas. Decorations were beautiful with a display of Gingerbread Houses created by different departments.Breakfast was delicious, offering made to order eggs and fresh Belgian waffles, and the dining area warm and welcoming with white tablecloths and flowers. Comfortable beds with abundant variety of pillows.Gym clean and well-appointed with windows overlooking deck & pool area. Bathroom quite tight but clean. Heat/AC responsive but very, very noisy (#319). Wonderful staff, esp. Jumma who was the epitome of customer service and Nancy who was extremely helpful as well. Business center needed some fresh air, but functional once the printer was fixed. Shop was sparsely supplied with basic travel necessities, and food offered there was costly and far from "fresh & tasty", altho handy for a quick beverage or pre-packaged snack.
Overall a very nice experience.

I was really pleased when I entered the room. There was a large living room, an alcove/bar, large bathroom and the bedroom was huge. There was so much space and i probably did not use more than 20% of the space. But it was a relaxing experience to have some room compared to the one I stayed in San Francisco then night before. Internet access is also free, so another plus. Breakfast was included and there were a lot fo choices, including made to order omelettes.

Room Tip: For $150/night, it was great.

My husband and I were impressed about the property, even though the room was a bit tight. The bed was very comfortable. We were in #429 and the room had few problems. The AC was making a ticking noise, the sink made a lot of noise after turning off the water , and the toilet. Oh the toilet! If you flush the toilet while you're still sitting down on it, the water come up so high that it touches your butt. GROSS! We really didn't stay in the hotel a lot except to sleep, so we didn't bother to report those. My theory is, the housekeeping should check those to make sure there's no problem before renting the room out.

I needed a place to stay overnight, along the highway between the San Jose airport & Palo Alto. I was getting in late and had an early morning meeting. Even the 2 star places were almost $200 - Silicon Valley is not an inexpensive area. The suite was good-sized. like a typical Embassy Suites, with a very comfortable bed and a large bathroom sink area. The actual room with the shower/toilet was pretty small, but so what. The sink leaked everywhere, but I notified the front desk as I left and I'm sure it will be taken care of.

Everything was spotless.

Breakfast was pretty impressive for a hotel. Made to order omelets and waffles. Yum!

I'll look for this hotel again if I need to be in the area. Great choice and it sounds like it can also be a great value.

I didn't reserve this hotel; I actually reserved a hotel in Downtown San Jose that was disgusting. I got there with 5 minutes before my cancellation time and frantically looking for a better hotel and found The Plaza Suites. I called them and they quoted me a price $50 higher than the online price, but they price matched it to hotels.com and were extremely cordial over the phone. When I got to the hotel, the front desk man was funny, nice, and super friendly. The property was nice, the room are separated into 3 separate areas: Living Room with a couch, desk, and TV, and then you have the bathroom/dressing area, and the bedroom with a TV. I do think they could separate them into two areas and it'd be a little more managable to get around. The bed was comfortable, the shower was adequate. One thing I LOVED about the hotel was the food. They have a great menu! They also have a totally free breakfast with made-to-order eggs, omelets, and a special. They also have a full buffett to accompany that. The gym was great; they have 3 treadmills, elliptical machines, free weights, and weight machines. Also upon your arrival they give you 3 drink coupons. I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Clean, Food, Gym, Friendliness of Staff, Comfortable Bed.
Cons: Rooms seem a little cramped in the bedroom area.
