I stayed at this place and when i first arrived in almost cried. I had travelled 15 hours from halfway across the world to stay in this time warp sub rated place. I do not know what to call it because where i come from, it cannot be called a hotel or motel.
The room is basic, like basic. I suppose it was clean. That was about it. You only go there to sleep. Comfort does not feature here. There is no breakfast, not that you would want to eat there anyway. The decor is dated and the carpets worn out. The whole place needs to be completely overhauled or closed down. There are no basics such as voicemessaging service. I had to wait 2 days before realising that i had messages. When i asked it seemed such a bother. After getting them to print how to use the complicated "service" i managed to get my message, amongst others left on there. No such thing as private either. He listened to the messages so he could wipe off the other ones on there!
To cut a long story short, we were booked there on a course. Every one else checked out the same day except me. I could not get alternative accommodation. By the way, because they know they are so much the pits, they insist you pay before you check into your room! This tells you all really.
I had to remain positive otherwise staying here nearly ruined my trip and i was not happy with the course organisers. I think this put me off santa barbara actually. Lack of good hotels to stay. Not worth the bother really. If you need to go to santa barbara, please, please, give the fiesta inns a miss.
I am not good at writing reviews as i am usually too busy, but this time i had to write this one. I owe it to whoever is considering staying at the fiesta inns. Spend your money elsewhere or stay home.
