Booked this through hotwire. The standard room was a little dated, but very clean. The room itself was enormous with a small patio. We were offered an upgrade to an ocean view for $40, but we opted to stick with the standard room. Parking is $10 extra a day. Front desk staff was friendly. We were offered turn down service. Since we were only there one night we didn't check out the amenities. They did give you a 10% discount at the restaurant next door as well as the coffee shop around the corner.

The location was perfect. Stearns Wharf was across the street and the Visitor Center was a short walk down Cabrillo. The shops and restaurants on State Street were in walking distance as was the Court House. Probably 20 - 25 min walk to Court House. Bike rentals nearby also.

For the price we paid ($224/nite including pkg), this was a great deal.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for one night in January on our way to Palm Springs. The location is awesome as we had an amazing view of the beach and the harbour. The room was very clean and well equipped. I did find it a bit pricey for off-season at 264.00 plus taxes for a night, plus they made you pay 10 dollars for parking. And get this, it's a first come first serve so even though you have to pay for parking, you are not guaranteed a spot! so keep that in mind. But if you are looking for a nice, clean well decorated hotel, this is a good choice. Down the street on Cabrillo is fabulous Mexican restaurant with 3 dollar margaritas every tues, wed and thurs evening. :) enjoy

We chanced upon Harbor View Inn and that bit of good fortune made us have the best 4 night stay in Santa Barbara. First of all the hotel is located directly across from Stearn's Wharf... within a 5 minute walk you have your choice of restaurants, bike hire company etc. The staff here bed over backwards to make your stay nice. Gardens and interior are so well looked after. Very clean and not a thing out of place. The view is of the ocean out the front and the hills of Santa Barbara at the back.
We stayed in a Resort City View Queen room.... we are a family of 5 and the room size was so generous that there was ample room for the roll out bed and for us all to relax comfortably.
The weather was unseasonably warm therefore we all made use of the pool and spa and the fitness room. Great supply of towels by the pool and fun had by all.
The girls on the front desk especially Megan were very helpful with a number of our questions and did whatever they could to make our stay as nice as possible.
If the farmers market is on up State Street don't miss it!! Some of the best people watching imaginable!

My girlfriend and I were there on our anniversary and received a complimentary bottle of champagne and were treated like kings the whole weekend long.
