We stopped in here one night only while traveling up the CA coastline.. wish we could have stayed longer!! Rooms were beautiful with great view of Santa Barbara.. Free bike rental (coaster style bikes) which we used to ride up to the Santa Barbara Mission (well worth the effort but drive if you are not in somewhat decent shape!) The Santa Barbara beach area was gorgeous.. rooms immaculate.. free wine/ appetizers in the afternoons and good breakfast and coffee in the AM! Free movie rentals.... beautiful warm robes!! Great find!! Thanks staff who were very friendly and helpful! We also loved seeing Santa Barbara!

This is one of a family of family-run properties. We stayed here the first two nights of a trip, went north for four days, and ended the trip with a final night across the street at the Lavender Inn. Both offer great value for Santa Barbara. The staff is professional and made sure to confirm by phone that we really did want to book two rooms, and at two places on different dates.

Brisas Del Mar is not a luxury property but it has a nice Santa Barbara vibe. Rooms are a decent size, clean, have comfortable beds, good space for luggage/grooming, and a small, quiet fridge. The breakfast/lobby room is small but adequate, and there's seating outside, which was pleasant in mid-Oct.

Take advantage of the free beach bikes--a great way to cover the entire oceanfront path in about an hour (with stops to admire the water birds).

We are doing a big road trip from LA to Seattle. Our family all met at LAX late in the afternoon and headed for Santa Barbara. We were all a bit tired and grumpy and when we pulled into Brisas Del Mar it was like a weight was lifted. We were checked in by a lovely gentleman named William who was so friendly and welcoming. We had booked a few rooms and they knew we were all together. Group check in was a breeze! William was also able to recommend some really nice places to eat and there was complimentary champagne in our rooms.

Our rooms were also fantastic. They were huge, comfortable and clean. TV's in both the lounge and bedrooms and a vast array of DVD's to chose from. We were worried that the location might be a little loud but we could have been in the middle of no where it was so quiet.

It was Mum's birthday and when we checked out they gave her a small box of chocolates.

We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Brisas Del Mar in early October for 2 nights and it was a really good experience. We were upgraded to a suite (Room 1) on check-in which was huge with its own kitchen and the large king bed was very comfortable. Rooms are old fashioned in style but that only adds to the charm. The complimentary breakfast and cheese and wine each evening was a nice touch and the free parking right outside your room was a welcome change to all the valet parking in larger hotels. There is a small swimming pool but we didn't use this. The hotel is about 2 blocks walk from the beach, so although not actually 'at the beach' we had no complaints about the 3-5min walk. Santa Barbara itself is beautiful, there is such a laid back feel to the whole place, a wonderful beach and great restaurants, especially for seafood as you would expect. If you're planning a trip along the west coast definitely stop at Santa Barbara and don't hesitate to stay at Brisas Del Mar.
