My husband and I booked 3 nights and here is our experience in a nutshell:
*Room - Ours was upstairs in the main house. It was very small compared to the pictures on the internet (forgot to check if room dimensions were provided), but it was clean, and cozy. We got a quick glimpse of the other rooms on the floor and some were larger so make sure you ask if you care about room size. The bathroom was small, but clean and very cute. They could've done a better job replenishing the supplies. They let the tissue box run to empty before replenishing. Bathtub was jacuzzi with jets that worked (a nice plus after a long day of walking around the city).
*Breakfast - Their breakfast varies each morning and we liked them all. A basket of orange juice comes in a cute jelly jar along with table mats and food served hot. Our favorite was the spinach and mushroom quiche. We wished we could've had a second helping, but they did not have enough. The inn keeper said he did not care to compete with the other B&B's offerings because it would take the specialty out of his. We've been to another B&B in the area and they make quiche from scratch and allow the guests to serve themselves. Not that we were planning to pig out, but that is a perk I'd gladly pay the other B&B the next time we book a stay. Ok enough obsessing about quiche.
*Wine and cheese are not offered on week days. They only had 1 white chardonnay that weekend we stayed. Another B&B in the area offers a nice selection of red and whites in addition to a variety of cheese and crackers. This place did not have much selection. Was surprised they didn't serve Kraft single sliced cheese.
*Overall experience - I thought the inn could do better in replenishing their tea supplies offered to the guests. The tea supply bowl ran dry the first night we were there and was not replenished until the second night (Lipton does not count as tea since it is generally inexpensive).
We must have stayed at a really nice B&B the first time because of all the noted differences! The place we stayed at last time must have set the bar high because I would not have noticed all the little things like the breakfast, wine & cheese, tea and bathroom supply if we did not have a much better experience elsewhere.
I would not recommend this B&B to my friends.
