“A Magical Sunset Cruise to Celebrate our wedding Anniversary”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

My husband and myself took the double dolphin sunset cruise while vacationing in Santa Barbara overnight. We had never done a sunset cruise out of Santa Barbara before despite having spent many weekends there. We boarded the boat at 6 PM and headed out of the marina towards the open sea. It was a perfect evening weather wise, which made the cruise magical. We got to enjoy looking back at the gorgeous coastline of Santa Barbara. We also enjoyed the local wildlife seeing the sea lions and seals. Aboard the boat was a cash bar. Some people had bought their own food and drinks. The staff were great and really made the trip enjoyable. We are glad we chose to do this cruise.

“Breathtaking Views, Excellent Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

We took the Sunset Cruise this last weekend, it was perfect. The Double Dolphin is the ultimate party boat. The boat was at capacity (around 40?), we had 7 people in our party. The group aboard was lively and fun, we all laughed, enjoyed the sail and marveled at the beautiful sunset. Tyler is an excellent captain and he and his firstmate did a great job too. I am a local and I appreciated this cruise, I highly recommend it. Affordable and fun with beautiful views, what else can you ask for? Dress warmly but they have blankets in case you need them or bring your own. You can keep warm with the cold beers and wine they have for sale.

“Coastal Cruise”

We had a great time on the 2 hour "Coastal Cruise." The crew was super nice, and we enjoyed the catamaran sailboat.

“Don't take the kids”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

We went on a sunset cruise. Although another comment by the Santa Barbara Sailing Center says that they tell people to arrive 20-30 minutes early, we were not told that and I can not see it on the website. We literally almost missed the boat even though we pre-paid on line.

Don't take the kids! The music that was played was nasty. One song just kept repeating motherf...... and another, played twice, was equally appalling. We have been on a few short cruises and this was rather mediocre. The captain only gave the beginning safety talk and was not heard from again. We would have liked to have information about some of the buildings we were seeing on the coast, or something. Tthough we love being on the ocean, the music was so offensive and loud that we were glad to get off when it docked.

There are snacks and drinks available as a pay as you go.

One nice thing about the cruise is that they provide some blankets so you are not so cold.

“Really enjoyable whale watching trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

We went out on the Double Dolphin whale watching trip from Santa Barbara Sailing Centre after the Condor Express let us down. We were extremely pleased with the professionalism and enthusiasm of the crew members, Captain Kyle and Quincy. The price was also reasonable at $30 for 2.5 hours. We were well looked after and advised about safety and offered blankets if we got cold. There were also drinks available to purchase on board. There was a naturalist volunteer on board who made the trip was very informative and we saw quite a few whales and even had a close-up encounter. We really enjoyed it and would recommend the Double Dolphin whale watching trip if you are in Santa Barbara.
