“Good wine tasting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014

This was my first ever visit to a vineyard and first testing of wines. The experience was pleasant and enjoyable. The wine taster was very helpful and explained us the nuisances very carefully. Was worth a stop at the vineyards.

“Santa Ines's best vineyard”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

One of the most beautiful vineyards in the area, the large verity of wines, my favorite is the Pinot Noir. You can bring your own lunch & cheese spend few hours on the property where park tables & benches are available. Very professional and friendly staff, gorgeous wine testing rooms.

“very pleasant afternoon of wine tasting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

We went when the winery was almost empty and really enjoyed our semi private tasting. Then we wandered through the vineyard for a while before purchasing a glass of wine to enjoy on the grounds with salami and cheese. It was very relaxing and we made the most of that, lingering for quite a while in the picnic area. Some of the wines we loved and some we didn't (we bought 2 bottles of the riesling) but the entire experience was lovely.

“Would not recommend”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

we went for the wine tasting, we had a poor experience. They charge quite a lot, they are very unwelcoming. We got the wines pored (barely a touch), not great wines, not even any water to clean glasses, not even red from white wines!
We then decided to buy a bottle and seat outside, since the yard is quite nice (and we had time to enjoy one winery only), the charged us quite a bit for the bottle, and even sold us a wine opener! because they claimed they could not open the bottle for us, or "lend" us a wine opener. 10 minutes later, we were told they were closing. would not come back or recommend.

“Just passing thru”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013 via mobile

To be honest we are not wine snobs but do enjoy a good glass. Gainey was on our way to a Solvang weekend of relaxation. Saw the sign from the highway and made a quick decision to stop in, after all we are in the Santa Ynes valley wine district. Very friendly folks who were ever helpful. Our "pourer", Jarrod, was personable as well as knowledgeable. It was also evident that he enjoyed his job, explaining the nuances of each wine we tasted. My wife and I wandered about thru the gift shop and the visitors vineyard where we were encouraged to sample the grapes right off the vine. The wines were delicious and my wife bought a cowboy boot cork holder that she loved!
