I ordered a salmon. Loved the old fashioned flair, including in the waiter. It was a bit like stepping in time. Good food, great service.

“Tasty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014

After sampling the paltry affair at the Holiday Inn Express, we thought we'd give Joe's Cafe a go before we checked out.

The cafe itself is a little taste of Americana: juke box in the corner; ornaments and furnishings celebrating a little of Santa Barbara's history. Plenty of room inside - it was half full, and we were placed on the empty side, which suited me.

4 of us all ordered different things. I had Joe's omelet, which was superb. By the satisfied grunts coming from my family, pancakes, bacon, eggs were all good too.

Our waitress recommended the orange juice, fresh that morning from the farmer's market, and by gum it was good.

All in all a very satisfying way to leave Santa Barbara. Great food and service. One for the repeat list if we are lucky enough to be back.

“What great food & piece of history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

Came up from LA and needed lunch badly - my friend & I split the tri-tip dip OUT OF THIS WORLD and glad we split it. the guys had a sloppy joe & the tri - tip sandwich ENORMOUS and gone! The ambiance of an old style bar and tables all around just made us feel at home. Next time we are saving room for pie - which all looked amazing!!

“Great service and food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

I had lunch at Joe's Cafe in Santa Barbara, CA recently with my brother-in-law and his wife. What a treat it was. The staff was wonderful and the food was sooooo yummy! The decor of the place was so fun. The manager shared a book with us on the history of the place as we waited for our food. It is a must if you're in Santa Barbara.
