My husband and I live in Los Angeles and enjoy going up to Santa Barbara and the nearby vineyards a few times a year. Each time we head up to Santa Barbara alone or with visitors - it's a given that we eat at the Palace. We love the food and moreso the atmosphere. The Palace is a guaranteed fun night and we are never disappointed. Go there on an empty stomach as there are too many menu items (Cajun) you must try. They start you out with a basket of mini muffins (about 5 different varieties). For an appetizer we love the crawfish fritters which is a very popular dish. Their entrees include Jambalaya, Gumbo and so much more. The Louisiana red fish is great when they have it in. End the night with either a chocolate or bread pudding souffle with some bourbon cream sauce. the best part of the Palace is the atmosphere. The stafff is super friendly and if you have never been here before there is a surprise in store for you. Rest assured, it will be entertaining. On a few occasions we have even encountered the owners waiting in line with us! Now that's what makes this place special!
