I live in Santa Barbara and was quite excited about the new hotel and restaurant. However, the restaurant has been disappointing. Even though the setting is quite pretty during the day, the outside patio was not very cosy at night as it gets cold here. The heaters did not help. Our birthday celebration that was quite expensive was not an enjoyable experience. The food was average. Once again, I ordered afternoon tea. Even though the dishes and the setting were quite beautiful, the chef really did not understand the concept of afternoon tea. We were given honey and a piece of lemon for the hot tea instead of milk and sugar like in Europe. The sandwiches were small buns like hamburger buns. I got one with a piece of lettuce and mayonnaise. Perhaps they forgot the cucumber. For $32 it was not worth it. The view was lovely.
