“Full of character -a delight”

My wife and I stayed for two nights whist on a self drive tour of Western USA. I chose it because of previous reviews and I liked the picture! Great decision. We had a lovely upstairs room overlooking the pool ( which,to be honest, needed a clean) and loved it. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the setting was great -lovely courtyard- and it was ideal for the beach and centre. Breakfasts were slightly restricted but good and parking was free to guests.
Thoroughly recommended. Please go.

Room Tip: We had room 23 which was lovely.

“Relaxing Little Inn”

We recently spent a weekend at the Inn while we were in town to attend my niece's wedding. It's a nice, quiet little place located in the downtown area. The service is great, as is the breakfast, and the courtyard is a nice place to relax. There are only two comments that prevent me from giving this 5 stars. First, we were on the ground floor and it sounded like elephants were in the room above us, so I suggest you ask for an upper story room. Second, my wife came out of the shower only to find a maintenance man in the room despite the fact we had the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. After some friendly persuasion he agreed to come back later.

Room Tip: Get top floor.

“Exactly what I was hoping for”

My husband and I just returned from a weekend at the Spanish Garden Inn. It was our anniversary so I wanted to stay somewhere nice, yet cozy and romatic with a Santa Barbara flair. With only 23 rooms and a short walk to State Street, it was exactly what I was hoping for. The architecture and landscaping are tasteful. We loved the room with a balcony overlooking the pool. The courtyard was a perfect spot to sip champagne and wine. The staff is attentive without being intrusive. My husband really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and cookies. It's nice that the parking is free too.

“wonderful hotel”

we happened to stay here and boy are we glad we did. The staff was wonderful and the
breakfast room is darling. you can eat in it or out in a wonderful courtyard. Our room was
charming with a fireplace and unique furniture. The location is great, a short walk to the
main shopping street and the mission.
movies and popcorn if you want provided free by staff. Covered parking in garage and no
valet fee.
we will for sure stay again

“Trip advisor to the test”

Although the Spanish garden Inn wasn't near the beach... but because it had been given such a high rating we thought we would put the rating of higher than the Biltmore! to the test...... How correct the rating was at #1 every little detail had been thought of breakfast that can be enjoyed in the lovely Spanish courtyard, a fire place in the room, lots of goodies in a basket to pick from in the room, complimentary pop corn and video library. The most helpful reception guys (one in particular but his name escapes me) sent us to well priced restaurant called Roy's really great food rather a grumpy waitress that warmed up by the end of the meal. Highly recommend the Spanish Garden Inn. Thank you x
