Description: Cadiz Restaurant & Lounge offers a Seaside Cuisine influenced by flavors from the seaside villages of Italy and Spain. Cadiz offers pizzas, pastas, seafood, entrees, and a variety of "small plates." The menu is seasonally driven, and all produce is bought from the local Farmer's Market right outside our front door. Our wonderful selection of seafood dishes come from local, harbor fresh seafood, purchased daily. Our mixology bar offers seasonal, market-fresh cocktails, and on weekend nights Cadiz transforms into an upscale European style lounge/nightclub at 10:30 until 2am.

“Fine Dining on State Street”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2014

State Street has a LOT of options for dining, but this restaurant is not to be missed if you are in town. Here you are able to get a proper cocktail and enjoy some amazing innovative dishes all while relaxing and being able to have a conversation. It is still Santa Barabara so it has a casual and cool vibe that is very welcoming and inviting. Other reviews have found it expensive, but I found it to be right on point for the quality and uniqueness of the dishes.

“Good but expensive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2014

Food and service are very good indeed. However, I think it is much more expensive that previous reviews lead us to believe and should be recategorised.

“Great Place to People Watch, Food is Decent too”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2014

Located on the main stretch of the town centre. Walked from our hotel to explore and wanted a proper sit down after long hours of driving. Got the impression that the place was bit less beer rowdy than all the establishments nearby-- suitable for my teens? It was festive that evening, because a special celebration with parade was to take place through town the next day. There was a bit of police presence around the area for "orderly conduct patrol". Surprised and sadden by how many homeless people are here a$king for help. Onward with the restaurant review...First impression after being seated is how skimpy the hostesses were dressed-- why why why these young ladies have to do to themselves for the sake. My Teen son was uncomfortable with how the young ladies are dressed. Food is bit size, so be prepared to spend a little bit extra. Waiting service is good. Quality of the food is good as well.

“a wonderful start to our wedding weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2014

We had our rehearsal dinner at cadiz on 8/8, and it was great!! I worked with Messina, and she made it possible to host a private dinner for 50 on a Friday night...how many places in Santa Barbara in the middle of peak season would even consider letting you essentially take up the entire indoor dining area and essentially block it off to the general public to keep it a private event? Not many. We had an amazing 3 course dinner with wine and beer , all served family style. We even has adorable personalized menus waiting when we arrived. Messina was great at accommodating certain dietary restrictions for some family members, and her serving staff were extremely attentive and on top of it. We felt like we had rented out a gorgeous space that was intimate and private, and had amazing food to round off the experience. We never felt rushed to leave the restaurant, especially since we essentially just payed for the food and service and didn't pay an extra cost for the actual space. Cadiz will always hold a special place in my heart, as if was the perfect start to our amazing wedding weekend :)

“Best burger ...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2014

It was so nice to find Cadiz after all the other restaurants we looked at on State St. While Santa Barbara is lovely, State St does not offer the best quality of restaurants. Cadiz is what you would call the diamond in the rought! It was a breathe of fresh air when we walked in. For starters the table bread is to die for...and the butter! I think I ate an entire loaf. I had already ordered the burger before my loaf of bread situation but when the burger came I knew just by looking at it was going to be amazing! The bun was housemade and so soft. The meat was so juicy and the perfect temperature. The service was excellent. Very professional without being stuffy. It was a fun vibe in Cadiz and I can say I will tell my hotel and freinds about this place!
