Expected more for the $550 paid for a room, was just an average clean room. No complimentary coffee or anything...
I recommend they stay at a trump hotel ...
Brunch was the only appropriately priced for the qualiy of food, did not have a pasta staton though

My husband and I stayed at the Four Seasons Santa Barbara in mid-December. The service was top notch, as I would expect at a Four Seasons Hotel. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and the location was pretty spectacular. The rooms in my opinion were just "okay". This is probably because I tend to like modern hotel rooms with spectacular bathrooms and more contemporary furnishing. This hotel, in keeping with its history, was restored painstakingly by its owner, Ty Warner.

What really made the vacation for me in particular was the access to the Coral Casino Club. This Club is very exclusive, and apparently there are only 500 members. The only other way to use the club (presumably other than being a guest of a member) is to book a certain room type at the resort, or pay a $200 per day fee. What I loved about the club was its facilities and the pool. Being an avid swimmer, having the opportunity to swim in a 50m plus pool right on the ocean was pretty spectacular.

In summary, what I would say is:
- staff - exceptional
- grounds - pretty off the charts
- location - lovely
- food - really expensive hotel food (but frankly wouldn't expect any different)
- rooms - okay (as described above)
- gym (if you have access to the Coral Casino Club) - off the charts
- spa - great services for a hotel spa - expensive, but that is in keeping with hotel spas

Would I go back? Not sure. But that is more about Santa Barbara than the hotel. Santa Barbara is lovely, but I don't know if I need to go back.

We LOVE The Four seasons SB. We've spent our anniversary here, after having such an enjoyable stay at the Four seasons Maui for our honeymoon. We are always treated with care and love. Wonderful resort; HIGHLY recommended.

We have spent a couple of my birthday weekends at this hotel. The rooms are charming, the grounds are lovely, and you have to love the Four Seasons style of service. This is a very low key resort, so if you are looking for a peaceful stay, this is the place to go. You are within walking distance of the Main Street in Santa Barbara and Montecito. There are many fabulous restaurants nearby. The on site restaurant is very good, especially for breakfast, and the restaurant across the street from the hotel (on the water) is excellent - not to mention the lovely view.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the end of one of the corridors, you will have windows on two sides and a patio.

Wonderfully furnished rooms, attentive staff, pleasant atmosphere, and pet friendly; practically perfect. The layout of the resort is very private; it almost seems like everyone has their own personal cottage. The grounds were very well kept, and with the beach right across the street it was easy to keep both a toddler and dog occupied. The only thing that slightly detracted from the experience is that the train can be heard pretty loudly inside the room, but thankfully it does not run all night.

What a lovely place! From the moment you pull up in your car, the parking attendant is very professional and you don't even worry about the safety of your car!

The lobby and corridors are stunningly beautiful and are now decorated beautifully for Christmas - simply amazing!

We went to the Sunday Brunch... well, all i can say is 'go hungry'! Such a spread, there is no way you could eat it all.

The room wasn't anything too special, but then, we didn't have one of the special cottages. We did tour them and they are simply fantastic - highly recommended!

All in all - expensive, but worth it!

Oh... and i didn't mention that it's right on the beach... Butterfly Beach. Fabulous!

Room Tip: select a cottage - worth the extra!
