“off season rates are great value - remember it's a motel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

Our rate was very low in late February 2013 - if you know what you usually pay in Santa Baraba's hotels and motels our $78 incl. taxes and fees at orbitz (with 20% off voucher) was a real bargain.

Rooms are nicely and modern decorated with flat-screen TV on the wall. The pool and hot jacuzzi was very nice addition. Typical motel breakfast with some ready-packed industry tacos.

Definetly worth to return - no idea if I'd like to pay $150 but that's seems to be the lower limit in S.B.?

Room Tip: ask for quiet rooms to back

A lot of things for the money. Heated pool and spa outside. Spacious modern room that was clean and comfortable. Al's Diner was by far the neatest place ever to get your free morning breakfast. I can't believe they don't use it to sell lunch and dinner.

Older place by functional. Continental breakfast was more than I expected. WiFi sucked. Got connected but the darn thing kept dropping out and when the place started to get full, wifi was slow to almost non existent. 54mps just doesn't cut if you have many guests.

I come here every year for business during a major flower show in early March at the nearby Earl Warren Fairgrounds. Every year I book in advance, get a great rate, look forward to spotless rooms with free, reliable wi-fi, quiet surroundings, a good complimentary breakfast, and in a great location in Santa Barbara. Highly recommended.

We have stayed here many years. Ammenities&value are o.k. by Ssnta Barbara prices. However, our recent experience with a clerk identifing herself as Camellia was very rude, & started off our stay wondering if she understood the meaning of hospitality. Conversly, Mike, Catlin & Matt are most helpful, pleasant & understand you are a guest. Will we return, probably, hopefully when the professional staff are at the front desk!

If you need the internet on your trip, don't stay here. The hotel was nice and would have been fine if I could get onto their wireless. Their reason, too many people were on it at the same time. They need to fix that. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and well appointed for the money.

We stayed here on a weekend trip to Santa Barbara and really enjoyed the ambiance. It's an older motel built in 1958 and refurbished. Our room had a very comfy bed with lovely linens. A flat screen TV, micro & coffee maker. The bathroom still had original tile shower, no tub, but very clean and kept up well.

The grounds were beautiful and the pool was large and well kept. Our favorite was the breakfast room with the vintage decor and vintage '50's tables & chairs. Great continental breakfast with attendant on duty to solve any issues. Very friendly atmosphere!

It's very convenient to shopping, restaurants and away from the freeway noise but near enough for easy on and off. There's a great public golf course very close, too.

The only flaw is thin walls and floors. Maybe some patio tables in the former carports between the rooms would help guests enjoy the lovely Santa Barbara weather.

Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Top floors are a bit quieter than bottom floor rooms.
