Great walk & place to watch people fish however one the day we were there many were catching crabs. We also dined at a restaurant on the wharf & bought souvenirs from shop.

“Parking lot over the bay”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

As other have noted, the crush of vehicular traffic on the pier really distracts from the ambiance. Instead of sea breezes and salt-water smells, there are obnoxious (and unhealthy) gasoline and diesel fumes. Really detracts from the pleasure of eating at an outdoor seafood restaurant. It would seem better, IMHO, to prohibit cars on the pier, and have a jitney service for older or disabled persons who might find the walk challenging. AND, prices on the pier are about 20% higher than ashore. As one person noted, the pier at Goleta provides a much nicer experience.

Pros: great views, nice walk, beautiful, lots of birds and sea life

This is an amazing area to take a walk and enjoy the views. It's really gorgeous.

Great views of the ocean and the harbor. The end of the pier has no railing, not for little children...

“Great walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

This is always a great time, just walking along the pier and checking out the little stores dotting the odd shaped wharf. The whole wharf is made of old wood, so it has a great feel of walking in another time or era, then to look back at the coast, you can really get a sense of the beauty of Santa Barbara.
