“Lovely”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

We stopped down here a few times on this trip..Taking food down to enjoy the beach, view of the islands, and the warm sand. Then again for a few drinks when our friend came to town to visit us. Nice place and so close to our sons house. Always a treat.

“Locals call it the pit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

Local surfers hang out. tourists like if for the easy access parking lot. Its Southern California beach scene condensed. Its got a restaurant and all the beach tourist wash the sand off your feet amenities. It has got a lot more sophisticated over the years. It was better when it was raw. But , its still great

“Over Crowded Parking and Teens By the Dozen”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

Parking here can be a nightmare unless you get here very early or late. This is one of the few places, other than the beaches around Stern's Wharf, where the public can get beach access. It also didn't seem particularly clean. However once you get past these issues, the accessible beaches are beautiful and give you the opportunity to walk many miles below towering sun lite cliffs!
