“Fun for dogs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013 via mobile

I really liked this beach - everyone is friendly. There is off and on - leash area, and everyone respects that. Parking can be a challenge, but overall, I highly recommend it.

“Go at low tide and enjoy the beauty of nature”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

Unbelievable especially early in the morning or at sunset. Great area to let your dog run off leash.

“A very nice walk to the pier”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

We enjoyed the coastal weather and scenic ocean/mountain views on our short walk to the end of the pier. 75 minute parking is provided all along the ocean front. If you plan to dine on the pier, you can drive to the end and park for a certain amount of time if validated by a local merchant.

“Great dog beach!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

My dog had a BALL (pun intended) at this dog-friendly beach! She was literally worn out after half a day of frolicking in the waves & playing with our kids. For the most part, the other dogs at the beach were very friendly, however, some of their people could take an etiquette class on how not to throw the ball so that their dog bowls you over chasing it or runs so close to you that you get sprayed with wet sand!
Before we went to this beach, I read some reviews that said it was dirty with garbage everywhere, but, luckily, we didn't experience that. When doggies would have to do their business, their owners were very conscientious about cleaning up after them & putting the droppings in the right receptacle.
The best part for us was the doggie wash station complete with warm water, shampoo/conditioner & a blow-dryer! We were happy to have a nice, clean pooch in the car as we headed back to our hotel for a nap!

“Picture Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

Visited for our first time on the 4th of July. To our surprise, it was busy but not totally packed. The facilities at the beach were adequate, the cliffs immense and everything else was, well, picture perfect. There was lots of space to explore. The waves were kind of small but that's not entirely the beach's fault. While I can see how parking could be a problem we were lucky enough to get a spot right away. All in all it made for a perfect day.
