“Waste of money”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2013

This place is so unimpressive, there almost aren't words for it. We see more interesting things hiking in the hills above where we live - for FREE. It would have been more fun using a magnifying glass to burn the $16 we spent here.

“Redwoods in Southern Cal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2013

The first time I went here I fell in love with the walk through the redwoods by a creek. Hard to beat that. There are some some quaint bridges that go over the creek, which is especially lovely in the spring when it is really flowing and the flowers are blooming. There are side trails for those that like longer hikes, but the main route is easily walked by families and provides points along the way to stop and relax.
They have a plant sale once a year when you can pick up some great specimens and every day in their gift shop there are small finds. They also have other gift shop items as well as plants.

“A nice find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2013

We enjoyed a little trip to the botanic gardens - numerous low-water plants attractively displayed. Brought home some specimens from their gift shop.

“Take a walk through the redwoods..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

I love botanical gardens and hadn't visited the SB Botanic Garden for several years. I love how it has changed and how the meadow walk leads on to the redwood trees. I could set in the shade and listen to the birds for hours. Very peaceful and meditative. Great place to purchase some California natives and a nice gift shop too.
