If you haven't heard of Cold Spring Tavern, you'll want to put it on your 'to do' list if you're ever in Santa Barbara. It's a little out of town on the '154' highway but worth the short 20min drive to get there. It's a rustic looking 'old school' joint and it works right in the middle of a forestry location. There's great Tri Tip rolls/sandwiches to be had all day and they're great with the salsa provided. We went on a warm Sunday afternoon in April and it was a place I'd take people back to in a second. It was packed with locals, tourists and its a popular stop for the older bikers who are touring the Central Coast. Super relaxed setting, live music playing and everyone was basically hanging out and enjoying the unique atmosphere the place has to offer. You're right in the palms of mother nature and its one of those getaway places that beats the hustling and bustling of a city locale. Recommend it to anyone who wants to take their friends to a different spot for a relaxing lunch on the weekend. Make sure you go when the weather is fine. The side of the road parking can be a bit of a lottery but you'll eventually get one sorted. The beers are a bit pricey but they have more of a mini-brewers range and not many beers you'd see in a supermarket which is part of the appeal of the place. Mark it down on your calendar and I hope you have a good time when you get there.
