The hotel was simple with no frills or thrills. The hotel was loud as you can hear pipes from neighboring rooms, the heating system, and cars in parking lot. The guest rooms and bathrooms were very big and clean. It was very close to Hearst Castle, the beach, and local restaurants. Recommend if touring the area and are looking for a clean and simple room with a good rate.

“broken toilet”

the toilet was broken and took a full day to fix this, and even after it was fixed the guy forgot to turn it back on, so we thought it was still broken!
the rooms are overpriced and the whole structure's very flimsy; there aren't many places around to eat

The room was typically clean,king bed comfortable.Bathroom was outdated and needs improvement in cleaning.Towels were available.Staff seemed unwilling to help.One seemed unfriendly.Continental breakfast was outdoors and staff serving was very nice,courteous,and helpful. Would stay again,however you can check out the other motels within walking distance for better pricing...you'll probably get the same quality service/room.

Our room was very spaciuos and clean, however it did seem overpriced. Our stay and trip to Hearst Castle was enjoyable except for one problem. When we checked into our room, the asian lady at the counter said that my bank card would not go through for the amount. I called my bank knowing that the money was there and to my horror she ran my card for three charges and over $800 dollars. Although the manager was very polite and helpful in this matter Iam still trying to get these charges resolved, and this is the topper, he told me "sorry the asian lady is too old but I don;t want to fire her because she has been here along time. If you stay here don't let her take your card!!
