Three of us stayed here in 2 rooms for 1 night while visiting relatives in nearby Pleasanton. We booked this through Priceline at a very good rate.

Our requests for 1 double-bedded room plus 1 king room were honored. The King room has a pull-out sofa plus a balcony. Both rooms face the front of the hotel - definitely MORE desirable than the back which faces the Interstate highway.

The rooms are clean, and free wired internet is available in room. Decor is a bit dated but otherwise fine.

We asked about the breakfast buffet at the front desk, but the staff instead suggested us go to Marie Calendar's for breakfast which is a lot cheaper. It is just next to the hotel, about a 1-min walk.

The ONLY positive about this hotel is that the continental breakfast (extra fee) is OUTSTANDING. Unfortunately, if you like to open your window at night, this is NOT the hotel for you! All the Suites are on the Freeway Side of the building and the double layered doors/windows must be kept closed at all times! From the balcony or sitting by the pool, there is a constant, endless ROAR from Hwy 680. On the San Ramon Blvd side of the building it isn't as noisy; however, the traffic is non-stop, night & day (keep that window closed!) The Staff tried their best to be accommodating; however there was nothing they could do about the noise, the depressing, old furniture, the ROCK-hard beds, and the lumpy pillows. After one night, we gave-up and moved to the Marriott San Ramon (Bishop Drive) located in a quiet, park-like setting with nice décor, comfortable beds and great pillows!

Had a pleasant stay. Hotel was clean and appeared well-run. It was very convenient to the Bishop's Ranch Business park. Two quibbles--breakfast was really pretty expensive, considering the nightly rate. And the smokers should be moved away from the front entrance.

Exacly what I'd expect from a Courtyard by Marriott. Rooms recently redone, very clean property, nice lobby with seatng (good for groups). No free breakfast, but free internet matters more to me. Too chilly during my stay to enjoy the pool, but the indoor whirlpool was nice. The hotel backs to I-680, so consider asking for a room facing San Ramon Valey Blvd. instead, for less traffic noise. Only one complaint- I'm no snob, but the coffee in the lobby was terrible!

Courtyard by Marriott advertises they are the hotel designed by business travellers. I wonder if most business travellers really enjoy laying awake listening to their neighbors talking, arguing or having sex? Because that's what I was doing in my room in San Ramon last night. Granted the room was newly redone, but I would have preferred that the owners took the cash they invested in new furniture and spent it on some soundproofing. I'm not kidding, from my second-floor room I could hear ALL my neighbors, above, below, and on both sides. I could have drowned them out with the air conditioning however the A/C in my room was so loud (and badly in need of service) that it not only drowned out outside noise but made sleep impossible. Even considering these issues I am very willing to stay here again, however if I'm confronted with noisy neighbors and A/C next time I will definitely demand a different room.

Hotel was clean. The weather was very hot but the A.C. in the room was very noisy. Had a very bad nights sleep the first night. We told the front desk .That morning they replaced the entire A.C. unit and everything was resolved. Great service and will stay again.
