I stayed at the Sierra Suites. I chose it because it was on the recommended hotel list of my niece, The Bride. When I saw the price of the hotel -- I was quite skeptical.

The hotel is very new. The common areas are really upgraded. The room was big enough for me and my husband and 2 children. There was a free buffet breakfast every morning. The location was convienent to Danville.

It was just way better than I thought it was for such a reasonable price.

The staff was really helpful. In fact, my daughter left a pair of shoes there. I got the nicest call from David at the front desk letting me know the shoes where left there and offering to mail them to my house.

I would definitely return to this hotel. Great location, nice rooms, and nice staff. You know with hotels. There are just places out there that have a good vibe --- this one is one of those places.

I stayed in hotels for about 150 days last year, and Sierra Suites stood out head and shoulders above the rest. The rooms are spotless and the beds comfy. The staff is super nice, and the breakfast is excellent. They really think of all of the little things here, and since I stay in hotels so much I notice these things.

I will go out of my way to stay at Sierra Suites and was happy to learn that they will continue to add locations.

I chose this hotel based on the information on their website indicating they had expanded workout facilities, including free weights. I knew I would be in San Ramon without a car, and did not want to miss my daily workout routine. What a disappointment. The tiny workout room consisted of two treadmills, a stationary bike and an elliptical machine. There was only one multi-purpose cable machine for other purposes, which was difficult to figure out. The entire room was smaller than a 12-by-12 bedroom. Very disappointing. My 1-bedroom suite was also very crampred, especially the bedroom. It would have been better if it was one spacious area with living and sleeping areas. On a positive note, the staff was absolutely delightful. They took much time to recommend area restaurants, and sincerely cared. The evening reception food was very basic (example: hot dogs and celery sticks).

Hotel pictures of this property did not convey how outstanding the service and cleanliness of this hotel is. Sierra Suites had gone out of their way to exceed my expectatons from the "free luggage tags" (business card laminated.) Even the notice to have the room clean or privacy was catchy the way it was written. Breakfast and the free beer for the social hour was done very well. This hotel makes you wonder how come the big boys charge so much. Sierra Suites San Ramon was a great treat for the business traveler!
