“Lots of room to improve response time.”

I stayed here for the conference. Takes 15-20 minutes by hotel shuttle from sanfran airport. Reported issues with room-wiggly tub faucet, power button tv remote not working and noisy air vent. Nothing was done about it after given the chance to correct. Banquet facility was very accommodating for our needs. The breakfast buffet was well prepared. Overall dining experience was good but pricey. Glad to not have a rental car for pricey parking fee even for the hotel guests.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback on your stay by completing the review on our hotel. We apologize for failing to immediately repair the wiggly tub faucet, t.v. remote button and vent in your room. We certainly missed the mark and have followed up on your comments to ensure this does not happen again. Thank you for your compliments on our banquet facility and well prepared breakfast buffet. Please know that our parking fee is commensurate with the majority of brand hotels in our entire area. You will find that the properties that do not charge a parking fee, will most likely have higher accommodation rates. Again, thank you for sharing the details of your stay. We hope your travels will bring you back to stay at our hotel again soon.

I've been "living" here 1-2 weeks per month. I've always had clean, comfortable rooms. I love the food and the staff is truly as wonderful and attentive as other reviews stay. One time I was taking the red eye flight home, management allowed me to return to the hotel after work to use the gym and they allowed me to add my dinner to my bill after check out. It was over and above and I really appreciated the ability to be there instead of spending hours at the airport.

I love that they have separate weight and cardio rooms so they have more treadmills than an average hotel. Rosario is a great bartender.

I actually prefer rooms with 2 beds to 1 king here, like the layout better.

Overall a nice hotel with spacious rooms. Standard of cleanliness excellent and has a nice outdoor pool.

However, they need to sort out:
1 the painfully slow wireless Internet
2 Many rooms do not have safes in and the security boxes at reception are tine, the just about fit a wallet in.

Come on management, safes in every room are a basic standard item these days.

Stayed 7 days - part conference and part holiday and was very impressed by the room, the service, and the attitude of all employees and management. My request to solve some minor repairs were handled almost instantly! Enjoyed breakfast every morning. Within a short walk to Trader Joe's (200 yards) for snacks and a longer walk to a major mall 1.5 miles) that we made quite happy. We took taxis to downtown for great restaurants (don't use Yellow Cab!). Good fitness facilities and a nice pool - but no poolside service?! The hotel shuttle only runs on the hour so it can be a little inconvenient but taxi fare is about $35. We would definitely stay again!

Close to the airport with a hourly shuttle.

The hotel is close to everything in San Mateo and is a great location to work from.

Good facilities and friendly, helpful staff. There is an small Starbucks in the lobby.

I've stayed at this hotel many times, and it's a solid hotel. The staff is EXCELLENT, the rooms are nice (standard Marriott). The room service is always prompt. On my last 3 stays, I have been upgraded to a suite (I've been here 4 weeks in a row now). And the Concierge Lounge is probably my favorite in the Bay Area.

One complaint. Fix the Internet. It's annoying when you're in the middle of doing something (and I've already been through the entire signon process!)...and the signon window pops up again. And the service is frequently SLOW. This is S A N M A T E O! You're basically in Silicon Valley, and fast, reliable internet service is an absolute must.

Fire those iBahn folks (really...what a stupid name), and get someone who can do it right. I've had my service interrupted each time I've been here over the last 4 weeks.

But even so, I'd stay here again because of the staff, lounge, and upgrades.

We recently spent two days at this property & could not be more pleased with our experience! We have come to expect nice accomodations from Marriott, but the staff here is TRULY EXCEPTIONAL. Their attention to detail, from the first check-in to check-out, really makes guests feel that their business is valued. Our room was immaculate, beds exquisite, great coffee makers, and room service faire was tasty and fresh. Also great little refrigerators to keep fruit & sodas. As Seniors, we actually don't mind the parking charge as we like the security (which is visible) for our vehicle, and feel SAFE going to & from the lot. We usually visit monthly to this area for Dr. appmts so have stayed in several other locations, but after our last Marriott stay, we decided we will not even bother with other hotels- this is the BEST VALUE FOR OUR $- "our home away from home!" Give them a try!

Room Tip: Ask for room away from Highway 101 toward west side of building. And for heaven's sake- if you...
