We had never visited a Mimi's Cafe before so we thought we would try one while in town on business. We arrived to a nearly empty restaurant. After being promptly seated, it took too long to have someone take our drink order. When it arrived, so did two dirty bread plates, however, no bread came with the plates. Again, a wait beyond expectations before we could place our order. Once our order was placed, my wife's soup arrived fairly timely, but with no silverware or napkins. After flagging the waiter to ask for these, he finally asked if we would like bread which was finally brought to the table. After about 15 minutes, the waiter came back to inform me that my meal was no longer available for the night. I had to see a menu again to decide on a replacement order. Again, another long wait. All the while, the couple seated in the adjoining booth were all over each other. Finally, we were able to get my meal, but not the wife's salad. It finally arrived and we both hurriedly ate so that we could get to an evening business meeting. We asked for our check for a quick getaway, and when it finally arrived, we had charges for three entrees including the meal we never received.
Long story short, the chicken corden blue and the corn chowder with the bistro salad were all good. However, the never ending wait in conjunction with the lovesick couple made the evening totally unbearable. My recommendation is pass this place by and spend your money elsewhere.
