“Outstanding value in convenient location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

We needed a hotel near the airport and were impressed by the quality and price, given the location. The room was clean, nicely furnished, and surprisingly large, with a little sitting area separate from the sleeping area. The breakfast was about average; we appreciated that the TV wasn't on. There were nice amenities: a hot tub, sauna, and swimming pool. The hotel is close to a cluster of nice, family-style non-chain ethnic restaurants if you go west of the 101 freeway into San Mateo.

Room Tip: Try to get a room that doesn't face the 101 freeway.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for a few days while vacationing, We found our room to be clean. The maid service was excellent! They kept the room clean and made the beds daily. The bathroom was very clean. The room had a TV, Microwave, small fridge which we used a lot, an iron and board, a hair dryer, and an alarm clock.. A roomy closet with a safe which we didn't use, but the safe is there if you need it.Not much of a view from our window, but we didn't mind that. The breakfast grew a bit old after a couple of days, but its free. You had a choice from dry cereal, hot waffle maker, eggs (powered I'm guessing), sausage, fruit (apples, oranges, bananas), yogurt, milk, juices, coffee, and toast. One of the elevators kept going out, but the one that worked all the time only took a minute longer to wait for is all. They do have a hot tub, but we always got back too late to use it. They would close it at 9pm. Wished they would have keep it open longer. No pool which would have been nice. We always got back from visiting San Francisco late, so the parking in front was always filled. We parked in the underground parking lot which is well lit and they never had any problems with any of the cars parked there at night. Odd place for a hotel in a neighborhood next to the freeway though. We had to take 3rd st exit then round about over the freeway then back onto the freeway and exit the first exit which brought us to a left turn onto the street the hotel was on. This is how we got to the hotel. The one complaint we had was we needed to do a couple of loads of wash. They said they had laundry facility, but you have to get a key from the front desk for the laundry room, and we found only one washer and one dryer which was being used. We had to drive a ways to find a laundry mat to do our wash. For the most part it was a pleasant experience. The price was better than some other hotels in the area, It is just south of the San Fran airport, and a short drive into San Francisco. We enjoyed our stay there, and when we travel down that way again we will probably choose this Best Western Inn again. If you are not a high maintenance person I would recommend this Hotel. It is a clean place and a nice building. Enjoy!

The location was perfect, I didn't have to take the freeway going to my training site. It was close enough to nice restaurants and shopping areas.

The room was a good size and clean and the furniture was decent. One thing I would suggest is having a fan/ventilation in the bathroom. Other than that, the internet connection was very slow at certain hours at night (some guests must have been using the connection heavily. It would be a good investment to get a faster connection although it's still good that connection is free).

I was initially upset that only 1 car per room can be parked within the facility (underground and in front of the hotel). However, after finding out that my colleagues paid for parking in a more expensive hotel, I was glad I stayed at Best Western.

I would recommend this to those who don't want to spend too much but still want a decent place to stay.

The facility is very nice. The breakfast was probably the best, they had tasty food and good choices.
I only wished the would have allowed me to check in earlier since I had driven all night from LA to San Francisco. I don;t think is fair that check in time is at 3 but check out is at 11. Just saying...

This hotel was nice and clean. The rooms were spacious. The beds were comfortable. The service was great. The breakfast was good. This was a great deal considering the competition's prices in this area. It's close to the airport.

This hotel has easy access to Highway 101 which means 20 minutes to San Francisco and 10 minutes to San Francisco airport. Great value simply because the parking is free. Who could ask for more than easy access, quiet and free parking?

Arrived the evening before departure early next day from SFO. Although in an awkward area it was easy to find just off highway 101. Not much in the immediate neighbourhood but there is a good restaurant within walking distance at the Holiday Inn.
The building and area looked clean with ample parking. The lobby looked nice and check in was quick. The room was clean but a little cramped with the desk, furniture and king-size bed. The climate control, mini-fridge, microwave, tv (not HD flat screen) all functioned. The Wifi worked very well. The bathroom was a good size and clean. Plenty of water pressure.
Having a room facing away from the highway, I found it quiet. The bed was comfortable though a tad soft for my taste. Most importantly I had a great sleep. I had an early flight and so missed out on breakfast.
All in all I was happy with this hotel and will be back next time in the area.
