Lakehouse hotel , nice hotel very relaxing place , room was clean and modern contemporary look, quiet, the staff very helpful and nice. The pools are nice and clean. The location of the hotel perfect , places to visit are close by and downtown San Diego is just few minutes (30 to 40 mins) away. I would recommend this a pleasant hotel. We would definitely would stay again!
The shopping outlets are near by .. Enjoy!! your stay....

I stay in the lakehouse and this place is beautiful. The hotel is renovated and the rooms are very specious and modern. The beds are super comfortable , pillows and towels are too. Every Room has a view of the pool., my had a view of the lake too. The staff are super super friendly . The manager which I forgot his name was the nicest manager ever, this for sure is a hidden jewel in san marcos. I just loved everything about it, that we extended our stay four days more. Stay there , and you won't want to leave.

We aim provide a relaxing, personable guest escape in which the only worry our guests have is when they reluctantly have to leave us. My daughter and I stayed at the resort on 8/1/13 and we were very pleased with the accommodations! Our room was on the second floor with a lakefront view. The room was recently renovated and was beautifully appointed. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend having breakfast at the golf course restaurant on the patio where it overlooks the putting green. Would definitely stay here again!

MacG17,

At the core of our Lakehouse brand is a guest experience focused on personable and passionate customer service levels offering a refreshing deviation from the robotic resort norm many have come to accept. We are delighted we succeeded in providing this experience during your experience at our brand new resort with your daughter.

We thank you for your review and are elated you will be joining us again, at which point the same legendary guest experience will await!

We celebrated our sons 5th birthday here. It was wonderful. Saturday night the hotel hosted smores by the pool, the kids really enjoyed that lovely touch The rooms are clean and modern the television is wonderful with many movie channels. The bedding was great the first morning we were there I was shocked to realize it was 8:30AM when we woke up. The lake view rooms do have green bugs that flock to the deck so watch out in the morning when you step out to enjoy a freshly brewed cup of coffee. The showers are beautiful but could use a shower sweep... water does get through. Other then those minor things this is our new hideaway! Next time with out the kids!

Room Tip: Upstairs the lake views are wonderful

We only stayed on night on the second floor with balcony facing the lake. The view was nice and room was spacious. We were able to do grocery shopping because supermarket was just minutes away. We choose this place because it was right between Safari park and Legoland, which we visited. The only downside was the price. Perhaps it was the Comic Con weekend, that I thought the room rate was probably 15-20% higher than I expected. Otherwise, everything is fine with this choice.

Spaky,

Thank you for your review and for joining us during Comic Con. Our firm commitment to our valued guests is to provide a legendary luxury escape on the lake at an economical rate which is apparent in our pricing in comparison to the other upscale properties in the North San Diego market. In addition despite all of our brand new amenities fees such as resort fees and charges for wireless will never have a home here at our resort.

We thank you for your review and hope to have the honor of having you back with us the next time you visit from Hong Kong so we can earn that last circle!

I went with my girlfriend for quick stay away and ended up falling in love with the whole vibe of the hotel and location. The hotel lobby and our room were actually spectacular. The rooms felt young and cool with chic furniture and pops of color in all the right places.

The pools (that's right-there's two) were really nice and the sun beds were comfortable and nicely designed. After spending a couple hours at the pool, I took off and played a couple holes on the course. I may have broke a window or two, but it was a good time. When I got back I showered up and my girl and I used one of the hotel's boats to catch one of the most peaceful and romantic sunsets we have ever shared.

The hotel has a restaurant, but there are a lot of great options around. We opted to go to stone brewery for dinner which is just a short drive away. It was awesome! I highly recommend visiting if you are in the area. Its a Disney land for beer drinkers and the food is great.

I ended up being pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. The rooms, the property and the staff were all fantastic. It was so relaxing I felt like I had been on vacation for a week.

We stayed for 5 nights, in one of the cottages by the lake which provided a stunning view and was quite comfortable with a deck in front and back!
It has just been renovated and I have to say they did an excellent job!
The room was spotless, had a modern theme, was directly across from the two heated swimming pools and two hot tubs.
We took our two grandkids, ages 6 and 9 and when it was time to come home, they didn't want to leave!
Room service is provided every day.
This is definitely a 5 star hotel! The rates are very attractive and the hotel itself has all the amenities you would ever want!
We will look forward to coming back!
