The food in this restaurant is tasty. The meatballs are what you would expect since that is the name. Mama makes good meatballs.
The restaurant is small but cozy. The noise level can be excessive but that's o.k The cannoli is tasty so the noise doesn't matter.
Prices are steep on some items so one needs to pick and choose if on a budget. We will go back.

The food at Mama's Meatball is so delicious! All of the food is made to order. They have two sizes of plates, small and regular. The small size portion is perfect for lighter eaters and the regular is perfect for those with big appetites. The pastas, salads, pizzas and sandwiches are all very good at a fair price.
Their online website is very well laid out, you can even reserve a table online. Also, you have the option to order your food for pick-up at a specific time if you'd prefer to take it to go.
Make a reservation or be sure to come early on a Friday or weekend night or you might be waiting for a table for a while.

We were in the area for Thanksgiving and decided to come here for dinner. A quick drive from Pismo Beach where we were staying. The restaurant is small, about a dozen tables in total. When we arrived at our reservation time, there was 1 table open, the place stayed filled the entire time we were there. Everything we ordered was very good - pasta carbonara, lamb shank, and spaghetti meatball. No hesitation to eat here if we are in the area again.

Why a surprise? I LOVED the Vodka Sauce even though I rarely order tomato-based sauces. You can ask for it on any of the pastas.

Mama is in the back of a courtyard on the right. From the street you would never know it's there.

The small rolls are very tasty, so be sure to save stomach room for your meal.

Restrooms are outside ... on a cold stormy night this is inconvenient

OBSERVATION
The service can be slow - the staff is friendly, so we just enjoyed the opportunity for a long conversation.
