I made reservations well over a month in advance for this hotel. I booked two rooms with my credit card at the same time from the Best Western website. However, the night before we left my in-laws got sick and asked me to cancel their room, which I did over the phone. The next day, they decided to go on the trip with us anyway. So I called and was told they only had ONE room left and it was a King Smoking room. I took it because we had no other choice. I reserved it with my credit card and got a confirmation number. This, by the way, was over $50 more than the rate for the original room.
Upon arrival, my husband and father-in-law went to check in. They were told that we canceled the entire reservation and they were out of rooms and so we were out of luck. They came out to get my printouts as proof that we did have reservations.
The manager got upset and said the printouts didn't prove anything and that I NEVER made reservations for two rooms in the first place! He was nasty and even yelled at the other clerk who was patiently trying to show him that we did indeed have reservations.
I came into the office at that point and he was rude to me as well and said, "You called and cancelled the rooms!" I explained that I only cancelled one and then rebooked a room and showed him the confirmation number, which he dismissed as not being relevant, and said I NEVER booked two rooms in the first place and so he wasn't going to give us the King because it didn't exist! (Confused yet? So were we!)
I picked up the printouts and showed him in black and white where it said, "2 Rooms Booked" and the rate for each room, times two. Plus I pointed again at the confirmation number I had writted down for the rebooked King.
He glared at me and then the clerk showed him on the reservation list that we in fact had two rooms booked and they were ready for us to check-in.
The rooms were clean but TINY. The location is convenient, but the manager was so rude that I would never stay here again. After driving 11 hours and finding out we might not have a hotel room when I had valid reservations and printouts was unnerving to say the least. Anyone who has tried to book a room in San Luis Obispo area knows that hotels get filled fast and frequently and finding a last minute room is almost impossible.

I called to make a reservation in April 2007 for July 5, 6, 7, 2007. I reserved the last room. I needed a large room with two Queen Beds. I was told there was only one room left- with one King Bed. However, she was pleasant enough to advise me to continue calling to see if a room opened up. I confirmed the reservation over the next few months. On June 28, 2007, I called back. A room with two Queen sized beds had opened up. However, she quoted me at higher price. She commented, "I don't know how you got this rate in the first place." I asked her why the rate was changed; she implied the rate that was given was wrong. I was dumb-founded. I cancelled my reservation and made different accomodations. She also told me that they do not send a written confirmation anymore, unless the customer requests it. Then, she said they do not send e-mail confirmations because they are not linked to the Internet. THis and they advertise a wireless connection!

We stayed here for one night while visiting Cal Poly, and were very pleased. We stayed mid-week for a AAA rate of $98.00, which seems to be a good value for this area. This hotel has recently been remodeled, and our room had two comfortable double beds with linens decorated in gold tones, for an elegant look. The bathroom is a nice size, with a separate sink area from the commode and bathtub. The mini fridge was nice for keeping drinks cold. We walked across the street to Applebee's for dinner, and took advantage of the continental breakfast the next morning. It was nice, but typical, with bagels, muffins, toast, cold cereal, instant oatmeal packets, fruit, yogurt, juices, but there were also make-your-own-waffles, which were great. The large pool and jacuzzi looked nice, but we didn't have time to make use of them, as we checked in rather late. The hotel staff were very friendly and courteous. I felt that it was a very nice hotel at a good price, and we'll definitely stay here again.

We needed an overnight stay on our way up the coast. The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Nice bathroom which was clean apart from one pubic hair in the soap dish but I guess that was unlucky! Otherwise the room was very clean and quiet. Nice pool and patio area .

As it was Thursday we headed up to the Farmer's Market which was really great. We drove as it was too far to walk but we found a parking spot very easily. Great food, music and all sorts of nice things to buy. Thoroughly recommend it.

The hotel supplies an excellent breakfast with a good variety of cereals, buns, toast, jams, fruits etc.

We booked online and had requested 2 rooms next to each other. Everything was as promised. This is a newer hotel and everything was in good working order and very clean. Not very fancy but a nice place to stay with a nice pool.
