We stayed here on a recent trip through SLO because we happened to have our dog with us and this place was listed as one of the better pet-friendly places in the area. It's not a luxury hotel by any means, but it was just fine, and I would gladly stay here again.

The rooms are a nice size, and very clean, with comfortable mattresses and bedding. Although pets are allowed (for a $15 fee), there was no hint of pet odors, fur, or other mess in the rooms. Dogs are welcomed (they even give you a couple of dog biscuits as a treat for your pet on check-in), and there seemed to be quite a few dogs staying there with their owners, but there was no barking or other noise audible in the rooms.

There is free wi-fi access in the rooms, and it works quite well. There is a small, but nicely-equipped for its size, workout area. The pool and jacuzzi area is spacious and nicely maintained. The property has a small fenced-in pet exercise area where dogs can run around off-leash.

The heating/AC system is a little outdated (wall units that don't have thermostats to shut the fan off when the room reaches the desired temperature), but it works OK, albeit a little too noisy.

All in all, not the fanciest place in the world, but certainly nice enough, and very nicely maintained. And it comes at a reasonble price for this Central Coast location.

Pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my stay here. Front desk is very helpful with all my questions about the town & transit. The grounds and pool are very well keep. Free WiFi afternoon snacks and a very inexpensive added cost to have our dog stay in the room. I will definitely stay at this hotel again when in SLO!

This is our second stay at this Best Western. Staff is efficient. Our dogs are welcomed. The fenced dog yard is a plus. Location near freeway, restaurants is convenient. Rooms are clean & comfortable.

The rooms are quite spacious and very quiet. The hotel has a great feel and offers a nice relaxing space around the pool area. The pool is a good size and there is a smallish gym with some equipment.
Breakfast is a dreary affair, but at least they offer real plates and cutlery, though coffee is still served in paper cups. Typical American breakfast, with only starches and very limited choice of fruit.
