“Loved our stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

We made all of our friends jealous finding this lovely inn! We were wedding guests in the area and by far had the best accommodations. Very clean and close to all the main restaurants and bars. Wish we would have booked an extra day in advance as they were already sold out. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

This is an excellent place to stay. We just happened on it whilst looking for a one night stay in San Luis on our way to Carmel. If we hadn't already booked Carmel we would have stayed longer. Really lovely house with oodles of character, the rooms were spacious, very clean comfortable beds and decorated in keeping with the age of the house. The breakfast was good and the price was also good. The owner was very helpful and gave us advise on where to eat on the night, 'The Slow Brewhouse' the food was good and their own sweet apple cider was even better !!

This beautiful place is the perfect combination of location, friendly staff, and rooms that makes you feel at home. Breakfast was very good, parking arrangement for our car, free WiFi. In short - everything you need to spend a good time in San Luis Obispo and the area around.

This is the perfect location for checking out the main area of San Luis Obispo on foot. We stayed 2 nights and didn't run out of things to do. We love this town!

The breakfast was very good and different each morning.

Staff were friendly and helpful and the old house is Beautiful.

Wifi was hit and miss in our room on the iPhone but worked fine on our laptop. I phone worked fine elsewhere.

Nitpick detail, include local preserves with breakfast, this area has so many neat producers it would add a local touch.

We stayed with our dog.

This is a Victorian house in the center of San Luis Obispo that keeps it's Victorian charm and serves as a very comfortable B&B. It's just a half block from downtown and it's just off the center of the great Thursday Farmers The room was very comfortable. They served an excellent full breakfast. And the price was reasonable. We'll certainly be back.

Enjoyed our stay at the inn in June. Room was good and staff proficient. The location is great. Walking distance to key spots in town. Nice sitting area on the lower level. And importantly, good air conditioning in the room! But the breakfast was not in line with the quality of the inn.

Part of the benefit of staying at bed and breakfast inns is the hospitality shown at the breakfast and the quality of the breakfast. Our breakfast was simply blah. Plain scrambled eggs and plain pancakes on a plain white plate. Yes there were muffins and plums available at the coffee station, but the plate was off the charts plain. So was the table - it was missing any special touches. Would have been great if a bowl of berries or fruit was placed on the table along with our breakfast plates. Would have been great if there was a berry or other fruit topping on or included in the pancakes.

Our breakfast expectations were not met, and we think any bed and breakfast traveler would have been less than satisfied. Hope your breakfast experience will be better than ours. Plus, although there was a gracious breakfast server, that an innkeeper (or chef or other similar person) was not present to add color to our breakfast detracted from our overall enjoyment of the inn.

The staff was very friendly. The rooms were exactly as depicted on their website. I stayed on a Thursday night which is SLO's farmer's market in the evenings. Lots of street food, performers and activities. Since the Inn is so close to the action you have to expect noise through 10PM on Thursday. I knew that and didn't mind it going in. The breakfast was outstanding. Highly recommend this Inn.
