I would rate this charming downtown hotel a 5 if this wasn't their first week of opening. There are still a few finishing touches that need to be added such as art work on the walls and learning the computer system, but finally a place to stay in the heart of SLO town! The location is on the quiet street inbetween the bustling streets of Higuera and Marsh with easy access to shopping, dining, hiking, and wineries. Free parking is located on the premises and They even have Cruiser bikes to use during your stay. There is a great upper deck patio to read, plan your day, or order a bottle of wine along with lunch to be delivered while you people watch.
While there are many great restaurants close by, you would be missing out if you didn't dine in the Granada Bistro. The " farm to fork" mentality is present throughout the menu and the local pride is evident in every bite!
Make sure you ask the staff about the history of the building and the dream brought to life by friends. The were able to keep the "bones" of the building while reinventing the future of a timeless space.
