“Pita is made onsite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

Todd and his family have the perfect after movie restaurant and very good food. You are treated in typical Middle Eastern fashion, honored guests. If you are a regular, food seems to end up on your table without asking. This is a SLO gem.

“Just great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013 via mobile

We just stumbled across this place while looking for a drink. Even though we were not buying food were offered pita bread and dips which were very tasty. We needed a place later for dinner and menu looked interesting and reasonable. Also the atmosphere was great. We were not disappointed. Great food at reasonable prices and great service.

“Simple, but very good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

This is the place for fabulous Gyros, falafel, pita, and pizza! Everything I've ever tried here has been simply stellar.

The pros - The food is great, the portions reasonable and the prices are good.

The cons - The "atmosphere" is lacking if one is seeking anything more that a good meal. It can be loud and "service" is ordering at the counter, asking for a glass for your beverage if you prefer not to drink from the beer bottle. One quickly gets the impression that "tipping" is expected simply because the staff arrived at work that day.

But the food............ Did I say how wonderful it is?

“Best. Falafel. Ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

I was coming though San Luis Obispo for business and the Central Coast Brewery recommended Petr for dinner. We certainly weren't disappointed! They made the falafel fresh for us right then and there. The "salsas" that they offered us were flavorful and an excellent addition to the light and fluffy pita they served. If I lived in SLO I would go there often!

“Good Pizza choice”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

Was in the mood for Mediterranean food and stopped at Petra's for the first time. Almost didn't stay because they had two large screen televisions in their tiny place. But, the sound was off and they quickly approached each of us offering a large piece of their warm, fresh pita bread. It was very tasty.
We decided on their Greek Feta Pizza (Medium $14.99). It was fabulous and really hit the spot.
Sadly, they serve their food using Styrofoam. Fortunately, we brought our own plates.
The place only has about 6-8 tables and their soda machine compressor runs very loud. With several people in the place it is hard to hear anything. Thank goodness they didn't have the TV's turned up. I don't know why restaurants feel they need big screens anyway. No one was even trying to look at them. It is such a waste and really ruins the atmosphere.

But they really make a great pizza!
