We chose Hampton Inn based on Trip Advisor's ratings and because it was centrally located for all our planned activities. It appears to be a newly built hotel, in one of the nicest, newest neighborhoods of SLO. The hotel is located just off the 101 and the back road to Montana de Oro State Park/Morro Bay. We spent days at Pismo, Morro Bay, Montana de Oro, Downtown SLO, Avila, Shell Beach and also attended a seminar located off the CA-1. This hotel was the epicenter for everything! Traveled with our 3 year old who is potty training. The room was beautiful and also child safe. Despite the proximity to the 101 Freeway, the room was pleasantly quiet and extremely clean. The pool and spa were at perfect temperatures. The complimentary breakfast was 10 steps above the normal "Continental" fare. Loved the fresh waffle machine, and chioces at breakfast.
