Urbane Cafe is new to SLO. This is a great place for a quick lunch when shopping downtown. I love their salads.

Spent the weekend in Paso Robles, CA and found this cafe on the way home through San Luis Obispo. awesome gourmet sandwiches and soups at a decent price! The sandwiches even came with a little side salad! I had the caprese sandwich, Husband had a pastrami and Child had the tortilla soup!

Sooooo recommend this place!

Tasty sandwiches and salads. Prices are moderate: $5 to $7.75. Urbane bakes its own bread daily. The San Luis Obispo cafe has covered outdoor dining in a corner setting (but only 7 or 8 outside tables with the rest inside).

My favorite sandwich is the Club Sandwich. It has oven roasted turkey, avocado, tomato, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce plus a salad. $7.45.

Urbane has 17 different types of sandwiches. Service is quick. No wait service at the table. You order and pick up after buzzed.

Good value, good people watching if you have an outside table - and have a nice day too.

My wife and I stumbled upon Urbane Cafe while driving to San Francisco. It was their soft opening and they were training the staff (late October '11). Luckily for us that day the food was free. We thought it was our lucky day. Then after trying the food we thought it was almost criminal that we didn't have to pay. It was easily the best sandwhich we had ever tasted.

Just last week we were passing through SLO again, so had to stop. The food is just as good as it was the first day. What I wouldn't give to have an Urbane Cafe in Vancouver.

I love that the sandwhich comes with a side salad. Makes for a perfect, healthy lunch. Such a great job on the food. I will be stopping at any Urbane Cafe I can in the future.
