“360 Degree Views on a Short Hike”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 29, 2012

This 2-mile hike (each way) is fairly easy, making it possible for many to enjoy the incredible views. Make sure to go early in the day on a warm day. There is no shade for most of the hike.

Nice moderate hike with beautiful views. Cool even on the hottest of days.

“Great hike.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2012

We went on a clear day and had great views. Surprised to see a register at the top given the hike was less than 1500' of elevation gain. Found it odd that this hike was easier than the hike named "Reservoir Canyon". Were quite a few people on the trail who were struggling, so gauge based on your own ability. We made a loop by taking a side trail (forget the name) back towards the campground.

Very beautiful view! The trail is in poor shape and very rocky.

“Foggy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2011 via mobile

The views are great, that is true, but 3 hours is a huge over-estimate on time. Total time including pictures, water stops and texting (because texting and hiking is dangerous) was only about two hours. Maybe if you really take your time and bring a picnic it could take three hours. Either way it is a relatively easy hike, more of a nature trail for the first half. Some places are full of a lot of loose rocks so definitely watch your footing. The views are amazing if the fog doesn't cover too much. Even if there is fog you can feel like you are even more high up when you climb above it. Two thumbs up for this nice little hike.
