We spent 3 nights here in early August and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The owners were very nice without being intrusive (which can easily happen at b&bs), the smaller room was very satistactory with a great deck, breakfasts were excellent, and we enjoyed the use of the hot tub on two of our evenings. But what I liked most was the setting. The beautiful, sprawling house is surrounded by countryside. It's in a valley - just lovely. It was very dry in mid summer so the nearby (uncultivated) fields were quite dead but it was STILL lovely! We saw lots of birds, including owls and hummers. And to top it off - the house is only 10 -15 minutes from San Luis Obispo - a delightful town - and lots of easy hiking. Our favorite hiking was out at Montana de Oro State Park. Even under "marine layer", it was beautiful! For the record, we stay in lots of b&bs around the country and are partial to ones that are more unique and less urban. This one fit the bill perfectly.
