“Relaxed country setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

We spent 3 nights here in early August and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The owners were very nice without being intrusive (which can easily happen at b&bs), the smaller room was very satistactory with a great deck, breakfasts were excellent, and we enjoyed the use of the hot tub on two of our evenings. But what I liked most was the setting. The beautiful, sprawling house is surrounded by countryside. It's in a valley - just lovely. It was very dry in mid summer so the nearby (uncultivated) fields were quite dead but it was STILL lovely! We saw lots of birds, including owls and hummers. And to top it off - the house is only 10 -15 minutes from San Luis Obispo - a delightful town - and lots of easy hiking. Our favorite hiking was out at Montana de Oro State Park. Even under "marine layer", it was beautiful! For the record, we stay in lots of b&bs around the country and are partial to ones that are more unique and less urban. This one fit the bill perfectly.

Room Tip: We looked at both rooms - either would be great. I loved the tub in the smaller bedroom, allowing m...

“Great B&B with Great Hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

My wife and I just returned from a 2 night stay. The property is in excellent shape, and is in a great location to enjoy the peace and quiet of the central coast but close enough to town to enjoy great dining. There are plenty of wineries next to the property.

All that said, the best parts of the Bridge Creek Inn are the owners, Sally and Gene. They are fantastic hosts and Sally is an amazing cook. She made some great dishes, and was able to accommodate our dietary restrictions without any trouble. We very much enjoyed spending the evening's wine hour with them and hearing about their very interesting lives before the B&B.

There are two rooms for rent on the property, which I found attractive. We are contemplating a return trip with another couple so we can enjoy the entire property together.

We had a great stay. We would definitely return and we want to thank Gene and Sally for helping to make it an enjoyable weekend.

“Gorgeous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2012

This place exceeded our expectations. After a day of wine tasting in SLO, we enjoyed a cocktail hour with the owners. Sitting out on the deck, which overlooks a wide open prarie with the golden mountains in the background. All kinds of wildlife to be seen, from foxes to rabbits, deer, birds, etc. Breakfast was gourmet and delicious. We will definitely be going back

Room Tip: There are only 2 rooms and they are similar. I think one is bigger and has a jacuzzi, while the othe...

“Fantastic Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2012

We chose this B&B based on the wonderful Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed! We only stayed one night, but we wished it could be longer. After a day spent wine tasting in the SLO area, we came back to the Inn for a lovely cocktail hour with the owners, Sally and Gene, and the other couple staying at the Inn for the night. With a nice fire going, we chatted and enjoyed some delicious cheese and crackers and wine. The owners were both very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, as well as interesting people to get to know. We reluctantly pulled ourselves away from the fire and went out to dinner. When we returned, we had the hot tub overlooking the mountains to ourselves. It was a beautiful night and a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this property to any couples looking for a romantic escape or friends looking for a quiet get away off the beaten path. Breakfast was also delicious and Sally built us another wonderful fire in the morning. Though we had to check out of our room, we were welcomed to relax and enjoy the fire for a while before hitting the road. The rooms were very nice as well, each with a balcony to sit and admire the views.

“The Perfect Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2012

I cannot say enough great things about this place, and I really cannot understand why people would stay at a B & B in town when you have this jewel out in the country. If you are ever in San Luis Obispo, this place is a must stay.
The owners of this place were out of town for the week but thier friends John and Mary were the perfect host. They did a fantastic job with breakfast and meeting out dietary needs. They helped us so much with selecting the best spots to go to for recreation and wine tasting.
Even though I am not much of a wine person and my wife is we both really enjoyed wine hour with John and Mary.
My favorite room is the whole place had to be the 3rd floor reading room. It was so great just to go up there in the evening, kick back and open a book.
It was so difficult to leave this B & B at the end of our stay. We will be back.
